Well, I finally received the Oath letter today.  The Oath will be this Friday, September 1st at 8 am.  Can someone please update my info.  Good luck to all

in my letter is written: you are scheduled to appear for a Naturalization Oath Ceremony on..1 PM.." 

Should I come earlier than 1 PM? If so, how much earlier? I will be  thankful for any advice.

Well in my experience they didn't let us in 15 minutes before time and we were waiting out in line in sun, I would say fill the backside and go there 15 minutes before not too early, or just wait in car for some time if u get early

Thank you weakheart for sharing. You saved my time.I have read somewhere that people go 2 hour earlier. Your suggestion abt 15 min sounds very reasonable. Thank you, weakheart, I take your advice .

I just received an update on USCIS saying they mailed the Oath Letter... do you happen to know where this is mailed from?  Not sure if the letters all come from a single state mailed nationally or the local USCIS field office mails it out..

Local uscis, can take 2 days though to reach u

i received the letter from my field office. They sent me on Fri, on Mon was in my mail box.

I do want to add my oath was in field office, if yours is in courthouse then security checkup and finding room where oath is can take little time, so add that up to 15 minutes, however at our field office I would say it wasnt even 15 it was like 10 minuets before they started taking us in the building, we were waiting outside,so 15 minutes is more than enough

Thank you for weakheart for an extra explanation- my ceremony will take place just like yours , in my local office, so like you say, 15 min should be OK..oh and I have a treme already

I am now a US Citizen!  Cocann, please change me to RED.

 

Everybody seemed to arrive by 10 am for the 10:30 ceremony in the Baltimore field office. We were shown to the waiting room.  Then called by row to the ceremony room.  They took our green card and notice form as we entered the ceremony room.  The ceremony started at 11, presided by a USCIS Supervisor (no judge).  There were 65 of us from 57 countries.  We sand the Star Spangled Banner.  All of our countries were called and I stood up for Canada, I was the only one.  We said the Oath.  The showed a short film of other new citizens takinf the oath.  Then a little later we were called to the podium in front of the room by row to pick up our certificate from the USCIS Supervisor. They played a nice version of America The Beautiful and then it was over.  We were given a short time to take pictures before they said another group needed to have their ceremony, presumably at 12 noon.
