I travel to go to the interview with my husband.  I schedule the day for the thursday at 10:30a. When my husband checked in they told him that embassy didnt do interviews that day. So, they wanted to rescheduled until January 31 2019. My husband spoke up and stated to the lady my wife is outside and she made the appointment. The lady at the window told him to come back at 1:30p. As my husband came back outside to sit with me with ate lunch then he lined back up at 1:00p. Once inside the Embassy she told my husband he did not have the right size passport pic and he would have to go back out to get some remade. So my husband came back outside running to get the passport pics made.  So he went back inside, he stated they made the people are reaffirm sit on another side of the room. Husband stated as he sat there they were not giving many visa out. They were more of denying most people. So when it came his turn to go the window he said it was a heavyset man sitting at the window smiling.  The man swore him in and told him to have a nice in America. After jumping through all the hoops the years and struggle we finally got blessed.

How long do you have to wait to withdraw your K1 petition and proceed with a  CR-1?

I don't think that you have to wait. You can withdraw a petition at any time. But before you do that, i'd take a trip to the nearest USCIS office to find out what would happen if you do. Having multiple request in can sometime hinder your journey rather than help it. Even though you are withdrawing one, the information would still be in their records. So you want to find out exactly what the repercussions would be to doing that. They may advise that you continue to move forward. OR i believe that you can apply for the K1 Visa WHILE you have your CR-1 request in at the same time (you would apply after they finally sent you the letter of approval to move foward on the K1). I heard during our process that people do that in order to bring their spouses over to the US while they wait for the CR-1 process to finish. Of course if the CR-1 is denied then he/she would have to go back to their home. Also they would still have to travel to there home in order to do the interview for it. But yeah, that is my suggestion. Get with USCIS and find out first exactly what would or could happen if you do it that way.

We had our interview (K1) today, and the officer didn't even look at our evidence. I'm still here in Ghana for the next few weeks and I'm going to definitely see what my options are. Thank you for your quick response

That happened to us on our first interview as well, actually he went and they told him they needed more evidence, set him up a new interview for a month later and when he went for that one, before he could even get to the window she was telling him how our marriage was fraud, after we gathered all that extra evidence and i paid over a hundred bucks to send it to him. They never looked at it. It made me so mad. Anyway yes do that because you definitely don't want to make any drastic moves now that the interview has gone thru. You have time, if they denied him you can expect that it will be 3-6 months before they send your file back to the states. But do keep in mind that the processes really are somewhat the same. USCIS will give you the option to rebutt the denial. Usually on the 2nd interview you will be approved, but it takes a very long time.

My fiancee stated that all the officer was fixated on was him marrying me fir a green card! 😡😡🤬🤬🤬! We have gone thru ALOT since our initial request! I visited my fiancee 3 times within a year staying 2 weeks or more each visit. And to say that our relationship is fake (arranged/fraud) he's going to deny our request! This makes me very crazy and I'm not going to settle with his assumptions to determine our lives! I'm very upset today...... And thank you for your responses and I emailed the embassy to discuss this case before it's sent to the USCIS...
