U wlc that's what we are here for others assist me as well so it's time for me to give back, some ppl disappear once their visa approved but God willing I will be here to celebrate the happy ending with everyone who's in this journey on vj.

That’s what I meant when I said the thread was dead.   People came here every day asking for advice then once they got their visa they unfollowed and disappeared.  If everyone did that people like me would not have gotten the critical advices that help us get approved.

On 11-29-2017 my husband went in for our long awaited reaffirmed petition interview. We arrived at about 7:45 for an 8:30 appointment. They finally allowed him entry at 8:00. He waited about two hours before submitting his documents and taking bios.

While submitting documents the person taking the docs asked how long ee have been married, commented on a picture we submitted of us with a cheetah in South Africa on one of our vacarions. My husband said he was filling a form similar to a matrix of the documents and information.

He then sat down and waited approximately 30 minutes before called to window 9. His officer was a white young gentleman, and my husband said he was kind, respectful and my husband felt very at ease. Here is the conversation:
The CO called him to window 9 and said Mr...your visa has been approved.

NO QUESTIONS!!! ASK
Gave him a white slip with highlighted instructions  to register online and to pick up his visa. we notice its different from the normal blue slip guess they change that.
Mr...i will give you your passport so you may re enter the embassy at 1:00 to pick up the documents from your case , please be sure to return today at 1:00pm
We returned at 1:00pm had a bit of a delay , picked up the documents from our original interview, noir and what we brought with us. He left his passport to be given to the officer for processing.
My husband was asked no questions at his interview. Was only given instructions to pick up docs, he is approved and instructions to pick up his visa.
As frustrating as this process has been and the long journey , it was worth it. Now for the life journey we fought so hard for to begin.
Peayers for those still in the process, God willing your day will be upon you to reunite with your loved ones.

On 11-30-17, our status changed to issued.

now we would like to know what the next step will be ? will it change to ready or delivered  to dhl ?

and what is the best route to travel to the us without a transit visa .?

and whats the best Point of entry?

congratulations!!...I can see this is a new profile..can you give me your old username so I can add to the reaffirm spreadsheet? Congrats once again!

I think many are still waiting for reaffirmation and the second interview and this thread is a valuable tool to help others.
Congrats to all who were approved and I hope they come back here and narrate their journey and how they have overcome the obstacles
and don't just disappear because they have their approvals.
I really don't see this thread as dead, there are weekly questions and contributions.

I am here to answer questions , the thread is not dead as you see it.

Well I called uscis yesterday to ask how long. Its been 180 since our case made it back to the uscis. The guy said he would put a work order in. I asked if I should withdraw my case he told me no. I also ask when are they sending the noir. He told me to hold tight they maybe sending it back to the Department of state. I don't know if this is a good sign or not.

She was not correct on that time. Its 3-6 weeks and you usually will get it about 3 weeks after entering the country. Also note that a lot of people when filling out there DS260 opted to have them to apply for a Social Security card so you think that you just wait for both the SS Card and the Green Card, but it won't come. Make sure that as soon as you receive your Green Card that you go down to the Social Security Office and apply for your Social Security card. It will take about a week or so to come after that. That way you aren't sitting around waiting for it only to find they never applied.
