Embassies require that only certain DNA labs on their list is used in the US for collection and only certain physicians for
specimen selection for the beneficiary.
The cost runs $600-$800 and takes about 8 weeks for completion when the results are mailed directly to the embassy.
If not requested then I would not do it but submit the BC with the NOID when or if you receive one.
Since they do not recognize test results from outside their approved labs they can not take the test result into consideration and in the long run a child
in their eyes does not prove a bona fide relationship unfortunately. They request DNA for immigration benefits mostly and not for
bona fide relationship evidence.

My wife's Visa appointment is tomorrow, 11/1/17.

She did her medicals today and a police report. She will not have any of these tomorrow for the interview. I know this sounds wired. When I got the email yesterday to schedule her appointment, the only day that was available was November 1st so I went ahead scheduled her even though I knew she has to do the medicals and a police report.

What should we expect since she doesn't have those documents?

My wife's interview went well. She was approved. She did not have her medical so she was instructed to drop the medicals at DHL. They kept her passport. Thank you all for your support. God is good all the time.

Congratulations!!!!  Glad there was no problem w/not having the medical.

We were approved pending more administrative processing - he said it would take 2 weeks so will see - not what I was hoping for but not bad news either.  They did keep his passport.

Hi family out here , greetings to all. Successful reaffirm applications , can you kindly share questions asked ❓

Some of the questions my husband was asked were:

1.  How many children does your wife have?

2.  How many children does the petitioner have?  (He was trying to trip him up since they r one and the same)

3.  Where did we meet?

4.  How many times have I been to Ghana?

5.  When is the last time I've been to Ghana?

6.  Who is Ethan?  - funny cuz neither one of us know who that is

7.  Asked who David B_____ is?  (hubby's father)

8.  When did u last speak w/ur wife?

9.  What did u talk about?  - really?

10.  Asked about the adoption and who the child was in relationship to hubby - where was the child's mother and this I believe is what he's checking more into (although I think they should have already done this).

They asked my wife only 3 questions:

1. When was the last time I came to Ghana?

2.When are you having your baby?

3. Where does your husband work?

That was it. Your visa is approved. Drop off your medicals at DHL office.
