@trustGI am well, how are you?  No i haven't heard anything back yet from the Embassy about the fee.  I am not sure if that is a new fee or not.  We did not pay any fee at the Embassy the first time way back in 2015.  They could have added some fees, other fees have gone up since we have been going through this process.  We shall see....

@Boohene102314 Okay  thanks

So sorry for two denials.  Your husband should have been given the choice of the same CO performing the interview.  I have heard of other who had reaffirmed cases and at the time of the interview they were asked if they wanted another CO to handle the interview.  Our NOIR was filled with lies about us meeting through a third party and he said my husband wanted to get out of the country and ultimately that our relationship was not bonafide..  It was a very brief statement. maybe 8 sentences at the most.  USCIS asked us for some more documentation showing 'ties' to each other.  I wrote a 6 page rebuttal and pointed out information regarding how we met based on our FB conversations from our first encounter.  I rpovided paperwork with beneficiary information and joint land ownership.  I included some more affidavits, even one from my ex-husband, which I very much appreciated.  The Embassy is a joke and pretty much denies people for no valid reason other than unnecessary suspicion, prejudice and insensitivity.  I know some people are fraudulent, but why suspect EVERYONE; they go by different rules because they can.  I know how you feel, it is big challenge to be away from your loved one because of one person's poorly evaluated decision.  Stand firm in your love, sister.  You will win!! We all will win!!  The devil is a liar.....

The immigrant fee is $220 now.

@Boohene102314 hmmmm 🤔 talking about lies I never knew those co can lied till we received our noir I cried like a child, my hubby keep telling me to come down, she even said I had a baby at the time me and my husband got in touch, so we provided a birthday certificate for my last child birth and my son wrote an affivat for us. And provided all the tickets for our trips and hotels in Dubai. God these ppl, all shall come to pass. God willing.

We have been going through the process since early 2015.  It seems they want couples to wait it out until they are married two years.  I guess to make sure we stay together.

We will have been married 4 years come October

I think the wait is more like two years now for the packet to be returned, it's 180 days after uscis has it back at which point the packet could been on its way for six months be on it's way 6 months before . We were sent back August 2015, record at nvc Jan 1 2016?then sent back uscis received march 1 2016, we are still awaiting the reaffirmation

We waited 18 long months to get our NOIR!!

After we addressed our bogus  NOIR with 1700+ pages in June 2016 come November 2016 they wanted a copy of my first marriage divorce decree.  Come May 2017 reaffirmed.  I think they should hire additional personnel to handle cases to help expedite things.  Something has to change w this process.

Greetings @#Gh79# I received a letter on July 20th, 2017 dated July 5th, 2017 from the Embassy instructing my husband to pick up his appointment package on ANY Wednesday to schedule an interview for the reaffirmed petition.  It seems that the Embassy mails the letter to an office in the USA and then that office mails it to the Petitioner.  The envelope was postmarked from Washington, DC zip code and the US Embassy in Ghana showed as the return address.  It seems that the letters are forwarded from Ghana to the USA and mailed from some office in Washington, D.C.  He went to the Embassy on July 26th and his interview date was scheduled for October 3rd, 2017.  I pray your wife should receives it soon.

The Ghana embassy received our reaffirmed case on June 12 2017. Our reaffirmed case was updated on July 5th on ceac website. So i sent an email on that same day to the embassy to find out if they have sent our call in letter. They reply July 31st with this:

Case records indicate a call in letter was mailed to the Applicant on 05-JUL-2017.

Consular Section
U.S. Embassy – Accra, Ghana

My wife is in ghana now she had brother checked the mail box several times there is no letter from the embassy. I went to the embassy today, To show them the email  showing that they have sent us a call in letter. I was told that I have to bring in the actual call in letter  with our case number before I can get the the package. I even gave her our case number, she insist on bringing in the letter.  What do we do now??? Please help.

Hey guys, I emailed the Embasy and they told me that a call in letter was mailed to applicant on July 27.   What is a call in letter, did they mailed it to me in the U.S, or my wife in GH, and will the letter have the interview date?  Thank you.
