Can someone explain to me what is done with a Supervisor review and why it would go back to the review department if the Supervisor already reviewed it?  Mines is in Supervisor review right now but I have seen it happen to some individuals here.

we are exactly in the same situation. my scan date was 11/21, supervisor review on 1/04. when i called yesterday, they said it was forwarded to review department on 1/13. I asked what that means and the lady told me that it is currently in process for review. i asked when they expect to complete the review and she said, they'll email me of the status once they are done. i politely asked about the possibility of a checklist and she said she won't know until the review is finished. So back to waiting, waiting and waiting....

Hey! We are in sent out our RFE the same time and we have the same scan date. My six week is also up and she put me on supervisor review yesterday. Keep me posted on your -hopefully soon- CC :)

Wonderful! I just got off the phone with NVC and since yesterday, our case has moved to "document review," and we have been there before obviously with our RFE, and we got an update within three days. Here's hoping it will be done by early next week!

I asked the lady if our case was on supervisor review still and she did not understand my question, just restated that the case moved to document review. I will call tomorrow and ask again.

They don't all use the term "supervisor review". Many times they just say "The supervisor was notified". I honestly think that is all "supervisor review" means. After 6 weeks you can ask them to notify the supervisor that the file is late being reviewed.

Problem is when EVERYONE is going longer than 6 weeks, that really doesn't mean much. Supervisor simply just acknowledges it, and then keeps on working through the giant pile of cases that are ahead of yours. There is nothing they can do. They clearly don't have enough people to meet the 6 week mark. They need to either update what they tell us (Tell us it takes at least 9 weeks and not to worry until it takes longer), or hire more people. I mean the online system still says 4 weeks! That is a complete joke.

I completely agree, bump up the wait time to 8 weeks minimum because two months is better vs. thinking this is a short experience and get mad after. We waited 5 months for my husbands I-601a no problem, but this wait is miserable, especially after an RFE

So based on what you and many others have said and clearly what most timelines are looking like, it's roughly taking 8 weeks+ for CC or check listed. Should I not even bother calling and checking on my case until it reaches 8 weeks?

I think you should wait the 6 weeks, then call to ask a supervisor to be notified, and then go back to waiting another maybe 2-3 weeks (So total 8-9) before calling frequently and asking that something be done.

That being said, for me at about 4 weeks I started calling once a week. Now I'm at 8+ weeks and I'm calling 2-3 times per week. I don't think the calling does that much but it just makes me feel better.

for AOSI used assets  (stock, retirement and checking accounts in addition to equity in my home) to suppliment my lower income for 2015, they asked that my wife bring proof of assets to the interview, does anyone know what is an acceptable form of proof of assets?

I have not began calling them yet, as I figured it would do no good. Thanks for your advice. I will wait till 6 weeks and just check on it, and then wait some more. :)

My parents and my sons stateside all keep asking me when we're coming.. and I have to keep telling them the same thing over and over, that we're waiting for our case to be reviewed. My daughter video chats with her Granny (my mom) everyday, so it can be difficult for her to understand why we all have to wait so long. But nonetheless we're waiting as patient as we can.

I'd imagine proof of those assets you listed in brackets? So checking/savings account statements, retirement account statements, your mortgage statement to show how much you have put into your home and something for your investments?

Everyone is asking us the same thing. I moved states and to a new job specifically for my wife to join me (since she has the best shot of a job in Houston), and so everyone at my job knows I'm here for that reason. They are always asking "Is she here yet? When is she coming?" and no one understands why it takes so long when we are married. Family is the same way. I think people just assume "Well now you are husband and wife, so she can come stay with you".

Yeah I totally understand. My family is the same. Although I'm living with my husband and our daughter in Egypt, my family Stateside just thinks we can hop on the plane and all be over there. I keep telling them I wish it were so easy, otherwise I would have been back home a couple of years ago. :P My husband and I are planning on relocating after we move to the US for the same reason. Although we're just going to relocate to the nearest city at first (Atlanta), but our options are open in case he gets hired in another city/state. For me I am able to work anywhere, so it's not so much an issue for me, but his career by far makes more money, so we'll go where the work is.

My scan date is 11/28, SR 1/10 and sent to DR 1/11.   My calls are the same, in the review department.  All say just watch your email for any notices.  No time frame, they cannot say how long.

Oh I really got headache and too tired of looking and searching.

My case has been 18weeks at the NVC and every call they say not reviewed yet/at the supervisor review/ or at the department review/

and now Mr. Trump came with this new ban, which I don't know exactly how badly will affect my !130 case in this stage since I am from Syria and my wife is originally from Iraq.

Just a note: Yes I am Syrian and I live in Lebanon, but am not a refugee, I live here on a student resident, and have newly graduated to become full time church pastor. I had visited the USA three time during the last four years, and we even got married in the USA.

How my case sounds bad to you guys?

Thanks
