I have 43 credits from social security (from past income in the US). Should I file I 864W, or will NVC still want to see evidence of financial support from the petitioner? Should I enclose a bank statement even though it is not initially asked for, or will this delay the process since I enclose a document that they don´t ask for?

Franky, I think it's not necessary for employment based like we are. If you are employment based you do not have to pay AOS and is our friends here previously said it will not change from EXEMPT to N/A as soon as case is complete. Unfortunately. We just should keep calling.

But ok, I still check twice a day :) Don't know why....

Same here, dont know why either.;)

I'm confused about "employment based" visas in this thread? Wouldn't you be getting a different kind of a visa (Not CR-1) if you were coming over via employment? Or am I misunderstanding? My wife has a friend who was moved here via emplyoment and the visa process took just 3-4 weeks total (from finding out he had the job, to moving here).

Thats probably because that was probably the L visa which is a non-immigrant empoyment based visa. Ous are different immigrant employment based or as in my case investment visa which is classified under the broad employment base. Hope this makes sense

Scan date: November 15th, supervisor review January 9th, a single document was requested ( birth certificate). Have been calling NVC every other day. I called today and the agent who pick up the phone told me I can even take 6-weeks under supervisors review, but he hope it wouldn't. I then requested to speak directly to a supervisor which he was reluctant but later said there is none available, I then requested a callback which I know they won't call. I called my representatives office yesterday and was Asked to leave my name, phone #, and reason for the call and the person who's in charge of immigration will contact me, I'm yet to here from them also. Friends I think I have exhausted everything power I have, pls kindly advice me, cus I'm just confused. My case is CR-1.

My wife and I had a checklist for the exact same thing (birth certificate, specifically a "long form"). We are just two days behind you (supervisor review on January 11th).

There is nothing we can do. They've told me it doesn't matter how small or minor the checklist is, they work in order so if there are people ahead of us with large files they will go first. I asked about bringing it to embassy and with birth certificates that is a no go.

Hang in there....easier said than done...people with November scan dates have gotten their case completed recently (this week).

Thanks my friend, but my problem is if they are saying they work in order with which form/ requested documents are received then it fine. But my friend who submitted his document two weeks after mine had his CC on Monday. So I don't believe they work first come first serve as they saying. I question the agent about that and he said " I have nothing to say about that". I'm just going to wait, after all I've waited for over 9 years. It's just sad that we've payed money for a service to be rendered and we have to wait this long.

Is your friend immigrating from the same place? I have been told there are different teams for different locations (not sure if it's 1 to 1 between teams and embassies). If your friend is from another country they may have a lighter team. Only other thing I can think of.

@bcking is it your wife birth certificate you didnt include or yours that make you to get checklist?

We sent my passport (copy) and an copy of the original birth certificate my wife's parents were given in the hospital.

Turns out hospitals in England don't give "legal" forms of the birth certificate (long forms). They don't tell parents that (at least they didn't 30 years ago). So we had to send a long form. The only different is the long form includes parents names and occupations.

It certainly doesn't look like it goes in any sort of logical order except maybe by month.  The other factor is by country...some countries (Canada, UK, Philippines for example) are processed faster.
