I fell asleep to the music I was on hold so long... fortunately woke up 2 minutes before the agent answered.

Scan Date : 11/28

Supervisor Review : 01/18

Document Review : 01/18

The agent I spoke with tonight said that following my last call, my case was put into Supervisor review.  The supervisor reviewed the case and because it was more than 6 weeks placed my file into Document review.  It's still there and the agent couldn't/wouldn't speculate on when my case would be done.  *Hopefully soon*

Have you tried to contact your senator because this is getting ridiculous. You have waited long enough in fact don't even speak to them ask to speak to a supervisor as soon as you call. Get in contact with your senator. They will have you fill out a privacy release form. The Nvc will have no Choice but to release that information.

Yes, I contacted Congresswoman Tulsi and Senator Brian Schatz .  Neither one has contacted me - I contacted Congresswoman Tulsi in October and the Senator just 2 weeks ago but neither one has ever contacted me after completing the privacy form and providing the background of my case.   I think they just know that the Visa process sucks.....

Your going to have to go down to the office face to face like I did and explain to them your situation. You can fill out the form there and they will call NVC right in front of you find out the office hours and go down there.

My scan date November 15th, 2016. Have been on supervisor review for two weeks now. Numerous calls to NVC, still the same story"your case is still under review" but a single document was requested my wife's birth certificate. Please is there any helpful tip?, because I'm just tired of calling them

Contact your local congressman. Call and ask to speak to a supervisor at Nvc. Your a paying customer who paid money to have services rendered for your spouse put some pressure on the supervisors.

Hopefully no one here is from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, or Syria

"U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign several executive orders on Wednesday restricting immigration from Syria and six other Middle Eastern or African countries, according to several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter"

Well now this worries me a bit. I wonder if Egypt will be added to this list?? :(

Well I get to join this post now ... NVC received our case and issued a case number last year, but we moved countries and had to get our case number re-issued before we could do any more.  Then we had hold ups with the fact my hubby's (petitioner) accountant hadn't filed his taxes. Fast forward to now and I just got back from the post office from sending off our IV and AOS paperwork!
We are both abroad, so we can't file the i-864 based on income, we did so entirely on assets (cash and a car which would not cause hardship). Here's what I sent. It was a mammoth package!  It must be so much easier when filing based on income!

AOS PACKAGE

Barcode cover sheet

Cover letter and table of contents

i-864

2015 tax return

2014 tax return

2013 tax return

Letter stating how USC petitioner (my husband) meets domicile requirements with the below evidence

-Real estate/house building enquiry emails x 3

-Drivers licence photocopy

-Sponsors passport photocopy

-Photocopy of envelope showing mail to US address

-High school and college transcripts

-Copies of Aus work visa and NZ work visa to show temporary status abroad

Summary of assets/cash with explanation letter

Current federal reserve currency exchange rates release

Bank statements to show current balances in all accounts as well as 2-3 years of statements to show accumulation of funds - US, Australia and NZ funds

Currencyfair transaction history (showing funds can easily be moved to the USA)

Car as assets – ownership payout letter. Current valuation statement. Current NZ registration confirmation

IV PACKAGE

Barcode cover sheet

Cover letter and table of contents

Passport bio data page

Photocopy of birth certificate

Photocopy of marriage certificate

Photocopy of Police certificate – Australia

Photocopy of Police certificate – Canada

(NZ police cert sent straight to NVC)

Resume (due to issues filling in employment and education on DS-260)

Got married: 26th Sep 2013

I-130 Petition Process:

Sent petition to USCIS Chicago lockbox (via in-laws to put check in US$): 11 Mar, 2016

NOA1: 24 Mar, 2016 (email notification 30 Mar. Hardcopy 11 Apr)

Service Centre: NEBRASKA

NOA2: 3rd Aug 2016

Petition sent to NVC: 18th Aug 2016

NVC Stage

Case number assigned: 8th Sep 2016

Paid AOS Fee: 9th Sep 2016

Paid IV Fee: 14th Sep 2016

DS-260 submitted: 25th Jan 2017

AOS & IV Package sent: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite requested: 25th Jan 2017

Expedite approved (consulate only): 1st Feb 2017

Scan Date: 31st Jan 2017

Case Complete: 14th April 2017 (10 weeks 4 days)

Full expedite approved (bypass NVC to send file to embassy), however too late as I already had case complete 17th Apr 2017

Case arrived at Embassy: 21st April 2017

P4 letter received: 26th April 2017 (expedite at embassy stage so this came from the consulate, not NVC)

Medical date: 26th April 2017

Interview date: 4th May 2017 APPROVED!!

Visa received: 8th May 2017

POE (entered the USA): 15th May 2017
