They receive at least 1k from every filer with about 500,000 applications per year. That's about a $500,000,000 per year revenue. They could hire more folks, or just disregard peoples' separated families and lost time, and pocket the profit. Its a joke. They obviously don't have enough people working there. They barely pick up a new phone line every 30-60+ minutes. Then they act like we are pests.

I pay my taxes and so does everyone else. No one deserves to wait this long.

Oh no i didn't mean it like that, was just comparing to what it was and what is it now, which is rubbish!!  :)

Yes it is rubbish.  Centralization did nothing for this process.

I did this in 2001 (same wife) but we didn't move to the US at the time and it took a few short months for EVERYTHING to be done.   Fast forward to 2017 (same wife + 2 children) it takes at least 4 times longer but my timeline is still open so maybe they will get to 5X longer before all is said and done.

Our children have 2 big events coming up in March and May that I don't want my wife or I to miss...... come on NVC... !

Good luck to all :-)

My 3rd scan date is 11/28 and I'm in some kind of review as of last Wednesday.  I'll call next week.

Husband just finished talking with the NVC, they said they had assigned us to Paraguay's embassy and that's when the confusion started (my address has a street named Paraguay). According to what they said it's already been cleared and fixed. They say that we were sent to supervisor review twice, once on January 6 when they realized it had been over 6 weeks and then a second time on January 11th when my husband called requesting to speak with a supervisor. I hope they didn't restart the so called supervisor review when my husband called since they say that takes 6 weeks too. But I hope this is our week. They said it was sent for review after the supervisor review on January 19th. Anyone else has been told this? If yes how many days after that did you receive your cc?

scan date: Nov 10th

supervisor review: January 6 and 11

(I hope final) review: January 19

I wanted to share good news!

Scan date December 13th and 15th due to two separate packages (birth certificate and then the translations two days later)

Our 6 weeks is up on the 26th, (for the 13th, today 1/24) and I decided to call just for haha's, and the sweet lady on the phone pulled my file and sent it to supervisor review two days early!! She said the supervisor is very good and should have it done no later than next Wednesday!! She said it could be done as early as tomorrow, but give him a week just in case.

Oh this brings my husband and I such sweet joy!!

Our original scan date was 10/21, but we got an RFE because my husbands birth certificate was expired.

This is such an answer to prayer.

May God bless us with a CC by next week.

Good luck everyone!!

Yes faith is what we need for sure and hopefully you get CC soon as well since we have the same date at the review department. I guess all this time the file remains untouched.
