I am still with you. I am so frustrated. I am over 10weeks waiting  and still othing other then its in the review department. Im going crazy now.

I think the "review department" is really meaningless. When I was on supervisor review before and ended up with a checklist I called one day and they said "No news yet" and then I called the next day and they say "Okay seems like you sent the wrong birth certificate in yada yada". There was never a time where they said "Oh well we are reviewing it right now so call us back in a couple of days".

That being said some people seem to get that information, I just never did the first time. Today when they said it I asked "Does that mean someone is actively looking at it right now?" and she said no, it had just been "forwarded" to their department to be looked at. I don't know what, if anything, it means. If someone were looking at my file today it would be completed today considering the only thing they have to look at is a single page english language birth certificate. I can't imagine that takes more than an hour at most to verify.

Okay, so obviously I am feeling desperate/a little crazy, so now I'm trying to think of all different possibilities....

For those of you that received your case complete or a checklist, had you all called and confirmed that you were in the "review department"? Or are there any of you that were just told "no news yet, sorry" and then received either a cc or checklist?

I had not been told that mine was in any review department or on supervisor review at any point. I called a 3-4 weeks after I sent my documents to verify that they had been received since I never got an email and they told me that they had received them and that my case is awaiting review. When I called the second time on Jan 9 I was told the same thing, my case has not been reviewed yet. Then my 3rd N/A popped up 3 days later. Neither of the individuals said anything about a supervisor review or about it being in a review department. Your scan date was about the same as mine so your final N/A should be popping up any day now. They have been pushing out CC's like crazy this week, so as long as they keep this pace up I feel confident that they will start to catch up on all of the cases that fell behind.

On my update call today the lady said that our file has been "sent to the document review department". I tried to ask her if that is something new but she was cagey about it. She is the first person to use that phrase to me. Has anyone heard that? Does it mean anything? (Supervisor review started just 1/10 so I'm not really expecting much). It's so funny how they all use different terminology. Maybe it's just to give us the sense that something is happening.

I was told that on today as well.

Hello everyone that's still waiting for CC. Just wanted to say that I'm praying for you guys! I know it is so frustrating week after week without hearing anything good from NVC. I just want to provide some encouragement to those in need to just continue or at least try to be positive, you guys are really close to the end of this journey. It's a very long and draining process but everything will workout in the end! I'm sending you guys lots of hugs. Have a good day!

I totally agree. You couldn't believe it when I got my 3 N/A's yesterday after 10 wks of waiting. For those confused about what "review department" means it's the department that reviews the mail (they don't answer calls) Once your case gets sent to supervisor review (if it does) you will probably need to wait another 2-3 wks before your hear something back. Might be less now that they're wording OT and trying to get caught up. Be optimistic! Another thing I didn't do was get an attorney. Some might have a more complicated situation than mine but I have always done all my paperwork on my own without any problems. Hang in there everyone and good luck!! ?

Sigh. So. Another update...

Called twice today (I couldn't help it!). First rep was not very talkative and had very short responses, would not indulge me in the least.

The second rep, though, was very sweet and funny and talkative. She said, "well, I would love to tell you that your case is complete, but it's not. However, I can see that it is in the review department and is currently being reviewed at this moment. Now, while I can see that it is being reviewed, I unfortunately can't see how far along they are in doing so. Keep checking back anad hopefully you'll get an e-mail with more news soon."

This is suuuuuch tortuuuuuure.

Quick update.......I just received an email from my attorney's office:

" I just got off the phone with the National Visa Center to challenge the checklist that they provided since your wife’s birth certificate and household registration are valid and obtained from the correct authorities. I am currently waiting for a call back from a supervisor. "

Hopefully, my attorney can speak to a supervisor and get my case closed....

Good luck, hope u can hear good news soon!

oh my, now I am panic,  I send the same document to NVC as well.....

Don't worry.  I think the household registration is official....I'll let you know what happens when my attorney talks with the NVC supervisor.
