I'm very sorry to hear about the checklists.

Yes, I've heard of NVC losing documents at this stage, and also between NVC and consulates.  This is the reason they ask to write the case number at the top of each document.  As an earlier post suggests, speak to a supervisor because an explanation is probably all they need.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

I had an issue with my husbands UK birth certificate as well. The NVC requires a long form birth certificate which is not a standard issue for births in the UK. Originally sent in what he was given to him at birth but was later notified that we had to request the correct format form the UK registrars office. Maybe you have a similar issue?

Also had the same issue. My wife's whole family didn't know there was any birth certificate other than what they get at the hospital.

On week 7 waiting for them to review the long form.

Well, I received this morning a check list requesting documents were already submitted. The REF didn't request all document to say it's a generic REF. NVC requested the following:

1- Join Sponsor valid Passport copy which was already submitted and Scan date was December 9th

2- Join Sponsor W2 for 2015 copy which also was submitted and scan date was December 9th

I'm not sure now what to send them since both requested documents were already submitted. I will call NVC the second they open and I will find out more about it. Hopefully they realize their mistake without delaying the case any longer.

This morning I received a check list, and they said that they will go ahead and schedule an interview appointment and that my wife can bring the missing items to the interview (by the way those items they said are missing were actually submitted but that's okay)

So I just called NVC and spoke to a very nice lady and was very helpful in my husbands case.  I am not sure on the regional scan date however I received a checklist on Nov. 25th and we sent the document in.  I have a new scan date of Dec. 19th.  After, I spoke to the rep I explained that what they were asking for was already in the original packet but I sent another copy just in case it was lost.  She was very apologetic and said let me talk to my supervisor and see if she can just review the case. According to her the Supervisor agreed that she will take the case as it was only one document.  It is has been put on Supervisor review however they may not get to it until Wednesday.  She did mention that Monday was a holiday for them and that to call back Friday as the case should be close by then.  So that is exciting news I will report back on Friday on any updates from my end.

1st scan date: Not Sure (October?)

Checklist: Nov 25

2nd Scan date: December 19th

Supervisor review: Jan 13th

Original Scan Date: Oct 3, 2016

Checklist: Nov 25, 2016

2nd Scan date: Dec 19, 2016

Supervisor Review : Jan 24, 2017

CC (phone call): Jan 27, 2017

Make sure they are filled out right as they might have been on the list for that reason

Or they lost them.

I had called NVC on Monday, and the rep had me on hold while he spoke with his supervisor. The supervisor requested that the rep e-mail him my case information, and that I should call back at the end of the week. I gave them a ring last night and actually got the same rep (what luck!), so he was already familiar with what was going on. He spoke to his supervisor again and said that my case has been put on the "pull list" but that there are so many people on it that I just need to be patient a little longer.

Has anyone ever heard of a "pull list" before?? Isn't that just where all the cases are?? I don't know, but I am hoping and praying for news next week. Couldn't help but cry uncontrollably after that last phone call :( I am tired of being told "almost" and "maybe soon" and just to "be patient a little longer." I'm sure you all feel the same.

I hope some more good news comes in from you folks today to help lift my spirits.

A pull list is exactly what you think,it is just where the cases are and pull them out to review them.

Okay, so obviously I am feeling desperate/a little crazy, so now I'm trying to think of all different possibilities....

For those of you that received your case complete or a checklist, had you all called and confirmed that you were in the "review department"? Or are there any of you that were just told "no news yet, sorry" and then received either a cc or checklist?

After supervisor review on December 21, I was told each time I called that it was in the review department.  12 hours before I saw 3 N/As, they told me it was in the review department and cannot give me an estimate on how long they would get back to me, but it would be before the 6 week mark (this would have been February 1).  After seeing 3 N/As, I called and confirmed that my case was complete.

Ok this is crazy, I called again to really understand why would the ask for the Joint Sponsor Passport again when it was submitted. The request itself was weird as they should have request proof of citizen ship not even a passport. So when I mentioned that to the lady she said "The NVC is waiting for the beneficiary passport copy" I was like ####### are you talking about but didn't say it for sure. I told her I have a full copy of the entire packages I submitted and of course for sure my wife's passport copy is there. I told her the passport copy was even sent in my original submitted package back in November 7th. I explained to her that what they received in December 9th was extra documents (Joint Sponsor AOS) just in case they need it and that pushed me 6 weeks from Dec 9. Now you're telling me what NVC is looking for is my wife's passport? Of course I requested a supervisor right away and for sure no one was available so she said she'll have someone call me back.

Just wondering how the hell would they lose a copy of the passport validity date
