I'm a first time poster but I've been monitoring this forum for a while to give me an idea of when I can expect a case complete from the NVC. I figured I would post my CC to give some of you long timers some hope that they are finally catching up. I called for the first time on Jan 9, at about 7.5 weeks to get an update. The woman on the phone said that she would put a note on our case to have it reviewed soon. Woke up this morning (3 days later) to 3 N/A's on my summary page. CC at exactly 8 weeks.

Scan Date: Nov 16

CC: Jan 11

Congratulations on your CC. :)

First, congratulations on your case complete!  To confirm, you were never placed on supervisor review; is that correct?

I have no idea. From what I have been reading, everyone's case may automatically be placed on supervisor review after it exceeds the 6 week time period. I didn't ask if it was on supervisor review and the woman didn't mention it. It's also possible that supervisor review could be the "note" she was putting on it. I didn't push the issue because I wasn't expecting a CC for another two weeks, based upon the dates of people who were receiving CC's already. I was planning to ask when I called again in two weeks.

Either way, that's great you received it so quickly.  I read on some posts above that cases from the Philippines are usually expedited.  Congrats and hopefully you receive an interview date soon.

My case is currently being under reviewed! :D If any feel like they are losing hope, just wait! Listen to this conversation I recorded talking to an NVC rep. This person was so awesome. He was able to tell me everything that was going on with my case, got me a callback request with supervisor, told me whats going on with NVC, and that the full team is there (document reviewers and everyone from 7am-12am) I only captured a portion of the conversation and uploaded to soundcloud

Thank you for sharing this. Let me tell you that I totally get where these NVC reps are coming from, as someone who works in customer service and in an industry where there's so much mail and reviewing of paperwork (especially all at once).  As the rep stated, not an excuse, but I get it. This does give me hope and I'm happy to hear they're working around the clock.

I do. I just can't resist the urge to check no matter how much I convince myself I won't check until a few hours after the last time. I just keep hoping so bad to see the 3 N/A. Also my scan date is 11/15 and supervisor review 12/27 and I keep thinking that nvc overlooked my file or something since they're now at 11/16 according to information I've gathered here. Clearly they're not working in order as much as they claim to be. :( I'm still hopeful though because they still have today and tomorrow. I hope you get your CC soon!

I know how you feel. During my first wait I would call literally every day after 6 weeks, ended up waiting about 8 weeks to find how they needed a different birth certificate.

Now we are on the 6 week mark from our checklist. I called Tuesday. Probably won't call again until next Monday. I just don't think calling everyday really makes a difference.

No, don't worry, you're still in the right order... All the ones from 11/16 are cases from the Philippines, which are fast-tracked. Their whole process moves faster. You're still in the right place, don't you worry! They haven't gotten to our dates quite yet.

You should call the customer service department to explain the result of your expedite request and to make sure they have all your documents. What it probably means is that the consulate has approved to expedite your case ONLY after NVC has finished reviewing all the documents - what this means is that once your case is completed at NVC, you will schedule an interview directly with the consulate instead of waiting for the NVC to schedule one for you. I know this because that was the result of my expedite request as well.

But, again, you need to call to confirm that.

Edit: Unfortunately this doesn't generally shave off too much time, but every little bit helps. I'm sorry to hear about your condition and hope that everything works out for you and your family.

EDIT NUMBER TWO: If you would please fill in your timeline, the rest of us could help answer your time-related questions, as they are all embassy-specific. And, we could get you a better idea of where you are in the process if we know all your dates!

Since  NVC has all the FEES and all the CORRECTED DOCUMENTS that they sent me a checklist for back on 11/29/16 already, and that my documents are still "under review". which I have not confirmed yet, because I have not called them about 5 days, what is the next step in this process, now that the consulate is willing to expedite? I should still call NVC anyway, correct?  I am in total and utter shock, I don't know what to think.

IN case you did not read what I received from NVC Expedite:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: BNK20165****6 filed by R***ARD CHA****S  F******Y on behalf of LAKKANA  FARRELLY.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov. Please send everything else to this address:

National Visa Center

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915".

---QUOTE ON QUOTE

What do I do from here? Anyone have any suggestions, besides call NVC anyway.    I am expediting this case so my wife can get here with me A.S.A.P considering I just been diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
