Looking forward to hearing about your interview experience :). Congrats.

Would love to hear people's insight on how long it usually takes to receive an interview date, particularly at the London embassy.

I do know that it has been reported that NVC only contacts the embassies the first and last week of the month, so you'll probably receive your appointment letter at the end of January, if that helps!

My 6 weeks up; so I called; I got a little clarification on supervisor review; there is no such thing as a supervisor review; what customer support folks do is after 6 weeks are up they call the supervisor whose team is reviewing the case to speed things up. If someone is really in tough spot I think it is better to talk to the supervisor.

I was told they have to wait for one more day before they can ask the supervisor to speed things. It can be called supervisor review but in essence it is supervisor being notified of the cases that are past due.

Most likely will talk to the supervisor tomorrow; It has been very difficult for me to bring my mom to USA after she had a mild stroke. I was denied a tourist visa on the basis of law 214b "potential immigrant". Immigrant visa takes a long time already 8 months. Naturalized citizens have a disadvantage in getting tourist visas; H1B visas can get parent visa so easily; so there are some disadvantages of being a Naturalized US citizen.

Hey all - scan date Nov 9. and woke up to a checklist today for the ONE document we are not able to send in ourselves.  It was the police certificate clearance document which, for NZ, has to come directly from the consulate.  We requested this document be sent back in October but they never sent it to NVC.  So looks like i'm stuck in this NVC hell for another 8-10 weeks.
