Ok.   Just spoke with NVC again.  They are saying that my husbands divorce decree form is not what they need - even though it's what uscis needed and we sent a letter form the court saying that it was the official document.

I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me back so I can discuss it with them.

Anyone from the UK have this happen to them?  Apparently the registrar office only issues death and birth certificates and divorce documents are issued from the court that handled the divorce and nvc seems to think they should come from the registrar office as well.

This is a common problem with U.K. divorce decrees. Because they are not signed, USCIS and NVC employees (some, but not all) don't accept them as the real deal final decree absolute.

When I sent mine to USCIS and NVC I circled the part bottom right that says "decree absolute". You're not the first to have this problem. I would demand to speak to someone with experience of UK divorce decrees and who knows they are not signed and there is no registrar record.

When is your interview?

Pl update your timeline.

Feb 13

Sorry but another question; could you have gotten a date earlier than Feb 13th or there is 1 month gap between case complete and the actual interview.

Thank you for your advice JFH!  Good to hear from you.  I will do just that.  I really want to avoid resetting that 6 week clock.
