Just need to vent. I see that plenty of people getting their NOA 2 well w/i in the time frame that I've already exceeded. It's driving me crazy. I received my NOA 1 on 11/7/2016. Should I worry that something is causing a hold up? I'm using Rapid Visa because I assumed they would help me avoid any of the common mistakes that might lead to a delay.

I check the website numerous times a day now. If USCIS can tell how frequently I check, they'll think I'm a psycho. I really just want to get my fiance (in the Philippines) here with me because I miss her so much and I want to give her the good news that we're one step closer.

Thanks for listening. Best of luck to everyone!

Looking at the timelines, it doesn't seem like you are behind everyone at all. Especially because everyone takes time off during the holidays and delays are to be expected.. Just breathe! You shouldn't be worried in the least. If you want, you can download the USCIS app to check how cases near yours are being processed, although the Philippines are usually processed quicker than other countries so this is not always the best way to get accurate estimates either. Also, I recommend not to compare your journeys to others or it will drive you crazy! Of course, we all say that, and we all do it, and we all get frustrated. It's normal :) Good luck on your journey!

EDIT: Wait... July 11th, or November 7th? We do dates backwards in Mexico and now I'm not sure which date people mean... I was thinking you meant November 7th?

Ufff guys you answered my question too. I am in a similiar case my case for the K1 visa was recieved in Nov 1 of 2016 my fiancé is located in Dominican Republic. I recieved my NOA 1 in early November but still no NOA 2. I was beginning to get worried, but I was thinking that the USCIS were taking vacations. Meanwhile, I try to get my mind distracted I go to the movie theater, out to eat, I talk and chat with my friend, ect. Just because I know that if I concentrate on getting the approval it would seem as forever and I would go crazy just because I want him over here so bad I shouldn't stop living my normal life.

OP your in a normal processing time. USCIS states the have six months before your I'm a position to contact them and get an answer shirt of the standard response.

Once you get your text or email that your application is approved you can start the entire process for the Philippines.  You may find specific answers going forward in the Philippines sub forum.

This new website is so full of bugs that I can't add another paragraph so here goes.

OP once you have your approval notification you can set your interview date, pay your fee and schedule your medical. Help for these next steps are here:

You can download the USCIS Case Tracking App from the Apple App Store. It's free.

You will need your receipt number. My understanding is once it goes to NVC then will need to track it using a different method as it's now with the Department of State at that stage.

April 22, 2020 - I-751 sent

April 23, 2020 - I-751 received at Lockbox

April 29, 2020 - Check cashed
??? - didn’t receive text or email confirmation. Ugh!

It takes max 5-6 months but most of the time 1-3 months for an I-129F approval. One thing I've learned is to never ever compare your case or timelines to other cases and timelines. It won't help and every case is different. Plus, we're in a holiday season, that won't help either.

01/13/2016: I-129F filed  07/15/2016: K-1 visa in hand
10/13/2016: Filed AOS + EAD/AP.   07/07/2017: Permanent resident (Conditional)
04/16/2019: Filed ROC  11/17/2020: Approved. (10 yr GC)

Naturalization
09/02/2020: Filed (Online)    09/08/2020: NOA1: (NBC
10/22/2020: Biometrics Reuse Notice.  12/22/2020: Online Status Changed to Interview Was Scheduled.
01/29/2021: N-400 Interview - PASSED! 01/29/2021: Same-day oath ceremony.
