Yes we are thinking the same thing, but we get scared when we see some experiences that did not go well, as when we read someone says that his/her N-400 affected his/her I-751 and slowed it up, while other people who are in the same processing time but they did not apply for N-400 get their approval.

Anyway thank you so much @shell20 for your advice! Good luck for you too.

I already applied for my N-400. The window opened for me in January. I don't think there is any harm in trying. Especially since we will be waiting at least 3-4 months for ROC anyways.

Question:

what date was your NOA?

and biometrics?

just so we can compare

And congratulations 🎊🎉

I am confused why you applied in Jan and didnt get your NOA1 until April and your bio-metrics in June?  Did they lose your application or something?  I think given the fact you didn't get your NOA1 until April they may treat you like an April filer, however if you have prove of postage you could probably request a service request when the processing times reflect your filing date in January.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

I don’t know what happened. Maybe I am one of the April fillers though 😞

-RFE around December 18th

- mailed out our response to RFE on December 26th

- Got our Approval Letter January 17th

- Got the Green card in the mail around January 31st

It's been 2 weeks since my approval and there's still been no online status change (and no card in the mail, though I'm not going to stress about that yet). Mine still says last updated 1/23/17 (Fees were waived).

I know that case status doesn't often update for approvals, but have people been receiving the actual green card without the card production/card mailed status updates?

I know it is easy to say, but I wouldn't worry. I have just been reading threads on here about GC''s taking for ages and it seems to be a consistent problem through the years..

If I was you, I would give it another week and if you get nothing or nothing changes then I would ring  USCIS  (tier 2 will only be able to see what is going on and but not always)  or make an info pass. Could be that the person who deals with pressing a button to actually produce the card is off work  I don't know what the heck they do at the place, all I know is there is absolutely no consistency.

I also read that USPS informed put the GC tracking under the parcel section as its priority mail, so perhaps check under that section if you have informed mail.

I hope you get your GC and an email saying card is in production in the next 24 hours.  Let us know when you get that, as I am absolutely positive you will!

I'm not really "worried" per se, I'm just going on vacation for a week so if there's a chance it'll show up without me getting prior notification, I'll get someone to check my mail while I'm gone.

Unfortunately my address is ineligible for Informed Delivery... my god, the nightmare that was trying to sort that out with USPS is best saved for another forum!

There is every chance if it doesnt come before.  Sorry about Informed Delivery, Ive stopped looking at it, in the hope if I don't keep looking I might get an approval, hasn't worked thus far!  Enjoy your vacation!. x

I just got my I-551 stamped in my passport today. Have quite a bit of travel in the next 6 months.

But ’tis a common proof

He then unto the ladder turns his back,
Looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
By which he did ascend.

I was lucky to get another infopass thsi morning to go back in to rectify the mistake on the stamp. They gave me a 6 month stamp and the expiration date was for 5 months from yesterday. They rectified that pretty quick. But man its difficult to get those Infopass appointments.

Hi,

I got my approval letter Feb. 26 but my online status is still "Fees were waived. Then, on February 7, the status went straight to "New Card being Produced." Finally this valentines  day I received my greencard ....ofcourse the online status didn't change.  So you may received your card soon.

TO FORBRIGHT:

Congratulations.. See you on the next and final phase of this process!
