I received approval letter today. 

 

• I mailed  I-751 on 1/14/17 received receipt/extension letter dated 1/20/17 on 1/23/17
• Did biometrics 2/28/17
• GC expired 4/15/17
• Received 1-551 stamp 8/15/17 gave me another year from that date even though I had extension letter that would expire 4/15/18
• Received REF dated 1/5/18 on 1/8/18
• Mailed response 1/18/18, tracking said it was delivered 1/20/18
• Received approval letter today 2/5/18, Should receive GC within 60 days.

 

I will be filing N400 soon. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

They only schedule appointments 2 weeks in advance from what I saw when I schedule to get stamp. Check site periodically. Hope that helps.

just a question to those who applied and will apply for N-400..which one do you think is best?apply online or do the old way by sending the application and evidence by mail?

I say online. That's how my wife and I did it. Scan all your relevant evidence as PDFs and upload them. The online form is very straightforward to fill out. It saves from having to spend money mailing another stack of paper somewhere and risk it getting lost in transit.

 

And when you submit, it goes instantly to them and you get put into the tracking system immediately. The system also provides you with digital copies of any forms they send back to you. It seems this system does a much better job of keeping up-to-date than the I-751 system.

I called USCIS today and was told that CSC is still processing from September 2016. I just couldn't believe my ears!!!

They will say that until the processing times update, its a way off not taking responsibility and using the processing times as of a couple of months ago, so they don't get tons of service requests or complaints.  No doubt when its updated they will be on October filers, however the updated processing times are getting later and later in the month. Should be mid month but last 2 months its been at the very end of the month.

I don't know what to say to you... The officer even asked to see my phone where I had the confirmation email. They could stamp it, or they could tell you to go back when you have the ticket or when it expires. You never know with these people.

the thing is there is a lot of documents to scan and upload..i have like a bundle of paper which is more than 200 pages..

They initially keep you to 5 files per requested item, so the more you can group together, the better.

 

For example, I grouped all of our bank accounts into a single PDF, with a titled page between each account to separate them from each other.

 

However, after you submit the online form, you are allowed to continue to upload documents that they'll just attach to your case in general. I don't know if there's a limit here, but I wouldn't think so.

Actually they said the truth, because their last update was: Sep 7 2016 AS Nov 30, 2017 

But the truth is that they are working now on Sep 2016 not as Nov 2017! Because we see Sep CSC filers are getting their responses now.
