Nothing so far, except for the one CSC applicant in our forum, who got their approval last year, Nov I think, they were called in for an interview though.

We should start seeing something for CSC in March 2018.

Steve

With the way csc is still going, i dont think we would hear something by march.

I cant believe they still working on august, while verment is working on february .

But lets keep our hopes up, maybe they will speed up somehow soon.

Ya that is true, for Jan 2017 filers, the span of approvals will be between March and May/June 2018.

Not all approvals will come in a particular month.

The date 20th August 2016 on USCIS website reflects as we have discussed on this forum before, is the approximate date the last of 20th Aug filers that are getting approved, majority of pre 20th August filers CSC have already been approved.

CSC might well be sending Sep/Oct 2016 approvals right now.

Because of this DACA rush last year, it affected CSC badly, slowed everything down.

Steve

On a separate note, I am planning to travel home for a personal emergency for 2 weeks.

My conditional G.C expired on 4/27/2017, that's what it says on the conditional GC.

1. Do you guys think, I should be good and not have any problems traveling?

2. I will be taking my one year extension letter with me. This letter extends our resident status for one year beyond our conditional green card.

In my case that would be 4/27/2018 correct?

3. My passport expires in 2024.

Do I need to stamp it for anything before I travel?

Really appreciate all your help.

regards

Steve

Hello all !

So I decided to look up my ex husbands (we divorced after 3 years) and seen that his priority date is approaching

(On January 24, 2017, we received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx)

I helped him with his paperwork and I do stand by him on the ROC.  What happened to us does not not kill my feelings or my hopes for him and we remain on good terms.  I was wondering since his year is almost up if I should have him call and get his case expediated.  I dont want him to fall out of status, nor have any issues.  When we submitted his papers I included a letter in there stating that even though we (at the time) we going thru a divorce, but that I support the ROC.

Any advice is welcomed.  Thanks

He should have been able to apply to remove conditions by himself as soon as the divorce was finalized, but your timeline is not clear. Regardless, he has legal status until they inform him of a final decision, however long that may take (even after 1 year). So there is no reason to try to expedite it, and I'm not sure it's even possible to do so.

1. Theoretically you should be good, but you may run into problems with people who misread the date or misunderstand the extension letter.

2. That is correct, but again, mistakes/misunderstandings happen regarding the letter.

3. If you want to be absolutely safe, get the I-551 stamp before you go so there is no question of the legal status.

How do I get that? I live in Houston.

Infopass appointment ASC?

regards

Steve

I checked the local Houston office on USCIS website, there is no appointment available.

I will just have to go and tell them that I do not have an appointment and its an emergency.

Will take my 1 yr extension letter, conditional G.C and the travel ticket.

Steve

Yes that is unbelievable! 1 or 2 years ago CSC was doing its cases during 4-6 months, since VSC was during 9-11 months.
Now CSC does its cases during 1 year + 4-6 months, which means there is an additional 1 year after the original time!!! And VSC takes 10-12 months, about the same.

Last time I went to an InfoPass appointment, I did see people there who didn't have appointments. They just prioritized the InfoPass people. Don't forget the passport, too. I hope it works out for you!

For the people who have pending I-751 and will or already file N-400 based on marriage, you should look at this paper (Link) I found on google, Dated August 4th 2009, It covers so many topics and answer many of your concerns. Good luck to all of you.

I'm afraid them accepting this DACA again is going to affect things. I liked Obama but this DACA is what I hate him for the most, I do feel bad for those who came illegally but he should not have taken a unilateral action and I blame the stupid Demo(s) and Repub(s) for this fiasco because we get shot in the foot. Atleast give time before this thing floods in and hire more workers or something.

Hi all,

Does anyone know - If you get an RFE, do they mail you a notice/NOA that they received your RFE materials?  We received an RFE on 12/18/17 and I mailed out the additional evidence on 12/26/17 and they received it the next day via fed ex.  Since then I haven't heard anything.  Should I have received a notice that they received it?  Am i just being overly anxious and expecting a miracle?  I know there were some holidays in there so they are extra slow, but seems like we should hear something back any minute now right?  Ugh, so much waiting!!
