I'm so sorry to hear that but I hope that you can send the 2016 tax return as soon as possible.  I'm really worried now because we didn't send our 2016 tax return either since it was too early to file taxes.  I'm wondering if the people that have been approved for VSC submitted the 2016 tax return or not.  I would love to hear from them.  When I applied for I-129 F, I received an RFE and as soon as they received the documents they worked on my papers because 10 days later they had a decision and the process continued but I don't know if that will the same for I-751.  At that time I submitted the RFE original letter because the RFE letter stated that the letter must be submitted in the original with the requested evidence.

We did not submit our 2016 Tax Returns when we filed the I751 because we had not filed that year's tax return as yet. However, we did submit the 2014 and 2015 Returns in our package...

This is what we submitted on Jan 4 (from my filing's cover letter):

 

 

Copy of Conditional Resident’s Permanent Resident card;

- Copy of proof of Joint Bank Account;

- Copy of proof of Joint Savings Accounts (2);

- Copy of Joint Leases, present and past;

- Copy of  joint 2015 Income Tax Return

- Copy of Conditional Resident’s Life Insurance enrollment form.

- Copy of Conditional Resident’s spouse’s Life Insurance application.

- Copy of Conditional Resident’s Retirement Plan enrollment form.

- Copy of Conditional Resident’s spouse’s Retirement Plan confirmation of beneficiary letter.

Hopefully CSC picks itself up like VSC and starting approving these GCs.

It's really nerve racking because so many things going on, and we renewing our insurance and they need these doc(s) and her extension expires on Feb 18th and on top of that, her passport (Pakistan) expires in 6 months.

I'm on my knees blowing prayers for that damn card.
