Thank you for finally putting this matter to rest. I wish tier 2 officers at uscis would read that letter and stop telling us that it’s from the date of the letter.

HI, Its time for me to file for N-400 and was wondering if it is better to file online or through paper?. And what evidence documents we need to send ? Also, I will be moving out of the house for the renovation for couples of months and I am in process of my i751 so should I just forward the mails to my new address or should I change the address? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, just received my approval for removal of conditions in the mail today. The case status hasn’t been adjusted online though.

 

NOA was 1/18/2017

You were probably checking the wrong receipt number, I am sure you were checking the CI87 not the I751 receipt number, you got them both on the same NOA (I797) when you applied to remove the conditions, the CI87 will never change (the status), and the other one once you enter it, a message will pop out (“you entered a valid receipt number”.....if I still remember correctly lol), the only time they will update it is when they make a decision regarding your I751. 

 

A question: when did you file your I751, and which center?

Ah that makes sense thanks! I filed on 1/10/17. Vermont.

 

My GC expiry date was actually on March 10th, so I could have filed in December 2016... waited another month however.

Just a quick update. Today my wife has received her 10 year green card. On to the next step, Citizenship. I guess I have to read up on how to file the N400, but I'm thinking that can wait till after the holidays. I hope more January filers will get approved soon. Looks like VSC is working on that. Good luck everyone and I guess I will see you all in the N400 section once we start applying.

One thing I wasn't aware of that may be useful, once you receive your approval, you cannot travel internationally until you have the actual green card (unless you get an I-551 stamp).
