Glad you got done with that nightmare, I applied on Nov 28, 2016, they received the file on Dec 6, 2016 ....Biometric on 1/11/2017 and still waiting to this moment :(

California Center, I am about to apply for my citizenship right now.....I am way over waiting for my 10 year green card!!

Well, turns out we have received notice that my wife has been approved.  The letter has been sitting here for probably a week already.  It was dated 11/27/17.  No interview or RFEs.  I'm gonna cancel our Infopass appointment for the I-551 stamp.

Thanks!  Our early date for N400 is 1/7/17.  We started filling up some of the information already, and I'll take a more detailed look this week.  Possibly apply early if the wallet allows it.

Just applied N-400 on the 1st of December.

Thank you for the response!  We are applying for citizenship next week when our window opens.  Can't wait to not have to deal with USCIS again!!

Hi, Congratulations on your approval!  Did they send an email or anything to notify you or just the letter to your address?  I'm so nervous because we used my parents address (permanent address) as our mailing address but a different physical address because we knew we were moving soon after applying.  I just hope they mail our letter to the correct address!

Hi, I received a letter of extension for period of one year in january 2017,and my green card "expired" in april. when I made an info pass appoitment for I551 stamp today they returned me home without stamp because they told me that the perioed of extension of one year is not when the letter was printed (in january) but one year from the expiration of green card (april) and that I should come in March to put I551 stamp in my passport.I see that a lot of people got I551stamp and when I called uscis they told me to make an info pass appoitment and today this situation. What should I do, I am worried now because of dates you know,that my extention letter is going to expire and i wont have i551 stamp...I am january 2017 filler

No email or update on check case status.  I've been checking online and its been the same as it was from January.

For once, USCIS were entirely correct in what they told you.

The text of the extension letter was updated in July to get rid of this confusion.
