Hi everyone.

Submitted my application yesterday. It was actually the second time I submitted because the first time around I wrote a check for the wrong amount, and they returned it to me. ANYWAY, I resent yesterday and now I'm wondering if I made another mistake. When my application was returned they had stamped the first page of the I-751 so I had to reprint it, and I think I may have printed the old form. So the first page is the old version and the rest is the new version. Haha, I'm so over this, I really hope they don't return it again.

I know this process is insane.  I almost send Form I-751 without the last page.  Thanks God, I found it before sending the application.  Good luck.

If you are starting off the process, I'd suggest going through the VJ I-751 application guide. It includes suggestions on supporting documents to include. The goal is to present as much evidence as possible to prove that you and your spouse are financially and socially related to each other. If you lack sufficient documents to prove this, affidavits from friends/family endorsing your successful marriage are recommended.

That said, here's what I sent and am hoping is sufficient for my application to get approved :)

- Cover letter
- I-751 form with $680 filing fee
- Photocopies of front and back of Conditional Green card
- Home purchase sales contract showing both names as buyers
- Proof of joint residency via utility bills (some in my name, some in my spouse's name), renter's insurance policy showing both names
- Joint savings bank account statements (3 months)
- Proof of my name listed under my spouse's dental insurance policy
- Copy of joint auto registration card
- Joint auto loan statement
- Auto insurance copy showing both our names
- Last 2 years tax return transcripts showing we filed jointly (printed from IRS website)
- Costco membership proof with both our names
- Proof of spouse listed as beneficiary with my employer and in my 401k statement
- Travel itineraries for 3-4 trips in the last 2 years
- 35-40 photographs from vacations & family visits with details behind each photograph

Hope this helps and good luck!
