Not to say there couldn't be that one adjudicator who chooses to be difficult/unfair and sends out an RFE requesting your 2016 Returns when you couldn't possibly have had it when you filed in early January. 

 

That is gonna be the exception rather than the rule though,  so we sent in ours with just our 2014 and 2015 Tax Transcripts and we aren't losing sleep over it.. 

 

Obviously, if you wanna be super safe and choose to wait until you file your 2016 taxes,  to then submit your petition,  that is your prerogative of course... 

We sent tax returns filed jointly for year 2015, as we do not have W2s yet to file for last year 2016.

We had submitted our tax returns for year 2014 when we filed for the initial conditional G.C in 2015. 

I think we should be fine ! :)

Also, for everyone here, I checked the similar 'January filers forum' for last year January 2016.

This will give all of us an idea of what to expect as far as biometrics and approval time frame goes.

CSC G.Cs got approved within 6-8 months (divorce waivers usually take 8-12 months)

VSC G.Cs, any of them are still pending and whoever got approved (45%) had to wait over a year .

I personally used Fedex (used them for all applications, they are great for tracking in my experience), but you can use any that you listed. Most people probably use USPS.

I used USPS next day delivery which requires a signature from the receving end and its cheaper than fedex and UPS

I used USPS Priority Mail Express box - same one as in CookieCat's pic at the start of the thread.  Mailed it on a Wednesday and it got there on the Friday. You can track it as it is priority mail. Cost $18 and change to mail. No worries!

Whichever you choose, make sure you have tracking on it.  We used USPS priority and it was received in 2 days.

Ya, mid May to mid Feb is around 9 months. :(

They need to speed it up. But I think we should expect our approvals for CSC by end of September 2017, long wait, I wonder what takes them so long after the biometrics, wish they could hire more people, there is an opportunity to create more jobs here but I don't think that is going to happen.

Hi every one and good luck to all of us

Can any one please tell me if the above list of proofs is ok? :(

 

1. copies of green card, drivers licenses of both of us, passport copies of both of us

2. proof of health insurance and life insurance

3. copies of credit cards showing the same card numbers, one credit cards statements (Chase)

4. proof of joint checking account along with statements

5. house and cars insurances showing both of our names

6. copy of military dependent's card, showing US citizen spouse as sponsor

7. official transcript of tax return 2015 from IRS along with W2s

8. Phone bills

9. Utility bills both of our names on them

10. social pictures with friend and so on (10 total)

11. boarding passes and itineraries of traveling together
