Hi, just got my approval letter yesterday. We applied on 1/3/2017. Got NOA 1/7/2017 for me and my daughter. Got both approvals 12/13/2017. Vermont.

Congratulations!   My approval letter was dated 12/13/2017, rec'd 12/18/2017, card rec'd 12/28/2017. Online status changed the day after I rec'd the approval letter (12/19/2017 status change

Why are you guys so worried about not having a 2016 tax return? Do you think your relationship is not going to be considered genuine because of it? Just chill, will you :-).

LOOL! I agree. As long as youre providing tax returns/ transcripts from previous years, you should be fine. I didnt include 2016 tax return, we haven't gotten our w2s yet. I wasnt gonna wait for immigration laws to get worse, my evidence is sufficient id rather put my money on what I have and not on what i dont.

Hey guys. As I mentioned before, I am going to prepare my docs to submit in Feb. I got a letter from USCIS yesterday to remind me that it's time to proceed for RCR from your green card. In providing docs mentioned in the letter there is a item which it says, " Submit a copy of the front and back of your 2 year Alien Registration card ( Form I-551)along with your Form I-751."  My question is, What is the Form I-551? When I checked USCIS web site, I found this link: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/temporary-i-551-stamps-and-mrivs

Well, As I didn't get any form I-551 at my first entrance to The USA, just the copy of my passport page which there is a stamp is ok? 

I need help.

About jointly held bank accounts, do u think to request a bank a letter which shows our account belongs to both of us plus the date when opened it, would be sufficient? Do u think I ask the bank for a report of our transaction? if so, for how long? we both get our pay checks in our joint accounts. So, do u have any advice for it which I can ask bank to do?

It means front and back copy of your green card.

I wouldn't necessarily ask the bank to do anything. You could just print out the statements (I just did the most recent one, but others sent in their entire history of statements).

Most recent being my January statement (I think the dates were Dec. 13-Jan. 12). In terms of how many months, I've read that folks have done the last 24 or 36 months. I was originally going to do the first/last statement, but figured it was overkill in our situation. Depending on what your other evidence is, having the last 24-36 months (or from whenever the account was opened) might be worthwhile.

No need to send i-551 stamp. It was a temporary visa stamp that allowed you to enter the United States. Copy of your green card is what USCIS needs as part of i-751.

Who has used ACCO fasteners to send their file? So we punch the holes at the top of our docs and put the ACCO fastener. What about the Form I-751? Do we have to fasten that to the docs or will it go separately?
