Hi everyone

Our NOA date is January 30 2017 and today we received an RFE. It said that we need to submit further evidence that we are living together like deeds or mortgages on our names etc. We don't have any of this and we did submit Joint Account statements. My question is did any of you receive such RFE and if so what additional documents did you submit?

Thank you and good luck

I did send in joint car lease contract, car insurance with both our names, health insurance with both our names. After receiving the RFE they transferred my case to the NBC. Still waiting on further development since may 1st.

Oh ok. Both of us have our own insurance plans and don’t have any debts. So, we are not sure what else to send. We need to really think and plan.

Some suggestions.. Are you on each others life insurance policies? Car insurance? Phone bills/plan, travel together (both of your passport stamps and flight tickets) photos labeled with place and date, do you have joint credit cards? Submit multiple months of statements from throughout your marriage for checking and credit cards. Copy of both your state ids that show you have same address. Where are you living? Idk your living situation but If living with family member have them write a letter stating you guys live together and can stay as long as you like, have proof that person owns the house and have the have the letter notarized.

I am getting updates daily from USCIS now.

I just got this one today morning,

July 18, 2018

We mailed your card to you. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver it.

You do not need to do anything at this time

The post office will deliver your card to your current mailing address. If your mailing address changes, update your address with us.

If you do not receive your card by August 17, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your card by mail.

I wonder how long it takes for them to deliver the card.

regards

Varun

Congratulations!

But ’tis a common proof
That lowliness is young ambition’s ladder,
Whereto the climber upward turns his face.
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,
Looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
By which he did ascend.

Thank you for the suggestions. We have our own insurance plans and bills, car insurance etc are on my husband's name. All our trips were road trips so do not have tickets or boarding passes. We do have photos. I am pregnant with our first child, so I am asking if our doctor can provide a letter. We are thinking to send the following

 - state ids that has our address

- Joint checking and saving account statements

- Photos from our trips

- Letter from doctor with ultrasound picture

- letter from employer (sent a request)

- A California state form that has my husband as beneficiary for state pay etc.

- Letter from my father - in law who owns the house that we live in.

We don't have any mortgages etc. either. Please let me know if anyone has received RFE and sent additional documents which resulted in approval. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you

i had my both of the application pending for over 2 years

I feel I'm almost in the same boat as you did, my ROC has been pending for 20 months I guess it could be because I filed N 400 this Jan.

Over 2 years is absolutely abnormal,  did you ever inquire your cases and how does USCIS respond?

Hey, I got a RFE in march and was approved in April.  We also didn't have a mortgages or utility bills in both our names. So we wrote a letter explaining our situation why we don't have it. We had a few family members writing an affidavit and they also got it notarized. Anyways after I got approved something went wrong and never received my Green card, so they told me to file for a I-90 which I did on 6/1/2018 and still waiting for an update after I requested an expedite 6/15.

Good luck with your case.
