i am May 2016 filler and applied for naturalization on July 2017 with pending ROC.My i-571 case was transferred on May 7 2018 to NBC still waiting:(

Please file a case inquiry here (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt). Your case is way outside the normal processing time. Any officer who would be assigned the case would be ashamed enough to process the case faster (fingers crossed for you).

As I said I-751 cases are very low priority. As my case was transferred to the NBC on May 1st 49 days ago, and I have read somewhere they generally process in 60 days.

Also I am not alone 16 more cases were transferred (not sure all to NBC though) to another office that has now jurisdiction. As they are around my case number I assume they are all October/November 2016 filers.

At least there has been some change in the last 4 months in stead of 14 months of silence and no action before that.

As you all might have seen or heard there is a lot going on with immigration at the south Texas border where I happen to live. So I can imagine they have other things on their mind right now than handling someone that came legally to the country.

Also if you would have read the page you linked you would know I have to be a bit more patient for at least another 11 days. You can't file an inquiry if the next is true.

NOTE: We are actively processing your case if, in the past 60 days, you:

  • Received a notice from us about your case,
  • Responded to a request for evidence, OR
  • Received an online update to your case status.

Could be invitation for interview. Or approval but you would also be able to see that online in case it is that.

I told them during my N400 interview that my spouse is here if you want to take an interview. IO told me why would I take an interview with you spouse?  He was not happy with me bcas I applied for N400 while I751 is pending.

This process is never ending..

Why was he not happy? Isn’t professional, some officers say it’s ok to fill for N400 some not , don’t they work in same core ? What’s going on in USA?

The message that you received of February 23rd is probably 'received by local office', this nothing more thst they started working on your case again and took it from a dusty storage to somebody's desk.

I too had a RFE so maybe the evidence was not strong enough.

Filed October 2016, received by local office February 26th 2018, RFE March 29th 2018, RFE reveived April 9th 2018 and lastly transferred to another office that.has now jurisdiction May 1st 2018.

The letter that I received states to schedule an interview.

In the case tracker app I follow 300 cases around my case. At May 1st to 3rd 16 cases have been transferred to another office that now has jurisdiction. That number is pretty stationary for quite a while now.

I have a paper GC now, as my NOA expired in December, which is valid until December 2018. So I will just be patient.

Recently  (June 12th) there was news that NOA's would be extended from 12 to 18 months. Everyone with a case pending would receive a new MOA, haven't seen anything yet. I-751's is a low priority process. My NOA has passed the 18 months already for about a week now.

Update to Form I-797 Receipt Notices for Form I-751 and Form I-829

As of June 11, 2018, petitioners who file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, or Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status, will receive a Form I-797 receipt notice that can be presented with their Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card, as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on their Permanent Resident Card.

We are making the change from 12 to 18 months because current processing times for Form I-751 and Form I-829 have increased over the past year.

Additionally, we will issue new Form I-797 receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents whose Form I-751 or I-829 was still pending as of June 11, 2018. Those Form I-797 receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on petitioner’s Permanent Resident Card.

As a reminder, conditional permanent residents who plan to be outside of the United States for a year or more should apply for a reentry permit by filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, before leaving the country. Read more information on our Green Card webpage.

Hi John,

Thank you for your time and your useful info. i believe you are totally right about February 2018 transfer. i know RFE took my case back almost a year. As a being married almost five years and having bona fide marriage made me  to feel confirmable so i didn't submit bunch of documentation. basically last six months utility bills, mortgage payments from joint bank account, last two tax returns without any tax transcript and couple fotos. in short story, it was my big mistake to not submit enough evidence for last 3 years. i am guessing that i may have combo interview very soon since my N400 . i wasn't paying attention at beginning and being patient since  last transfer on may 2018 it become very stressfull  for me by checking my case everyday, i hope everyone here will have good news very soon.
