I never got anything in the mail after the big “case received at local office” wave. I did get my stamp in the passport today and the officer there told me those mass updates really don’t mean anything. They’ll contact you by mail if they want or do anything. My case is still in CSC and they are working on October 17 :(

So I just back from my infopass in downtown LA.

She took my expired green card and told me the stamp works like green card for traveling and employment. I asked my expired card back and she refused. She also put a cancelled without prejudice on my extension letter. I am a bit annoyed that she took my expired card since I filed N-400 already, looks like I wont get the 10 year card, I just want to keep the card as a memory ( weird I know)

Anyway, I asked for the updates on my case ( Jan 27th 2017), she said is still in CSC and currently they are working on Nov cases. I asked how long gonna take to process mine, she didnt know. I asked about the combo interview( I751 and N400), She simply responded it wont happen. All her words sounds very cold and dont want to carry any conversation with me ( I waited about one hour just for 3 mins work).

I came home ad check my status, all old message ( fee waived and transfer to local office on Feb 26th 2018).

Some officers are very rude, sorry to hear about your experience. You don't need to worry you will have a combined ROC and N-400 interview. It all depends on your field office processing timeline.

Hello. Just looked It up this morning California Center Processing time for I751 . Avarage time is between 12-17.5 month. I think , we should be looking to get our cards by the begining of 2018 of June and late July, which is good because our stamp will be good for a year from now. Thats good news!!

Hi Everyone

It's been a while since I last posted here, and I just want to update my fellow January 2017 filers of two things:

  1. I've scheduled a USCIS InfoPass appointment for tomorrow at the USCIS office in Downtown San Diego. I'm bringing my appointment letter, passport, expired green card (I-551 form), and all I-751-related documents (i.e., Receipt Notice and Form I-797C, Notice of Action).
  2. I also checked the status of my case via the USCIS Case Tracker app, and just realized that my case has been updated to reflect the following (see attached images). I would assume that by "My Local Office," they meant the CSC where I initially sent my petition.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow at my InfoPass appointment. I'll report back on my experience as soon as I can. :)

Cheers,

Jae
