Before medical exam, I collected all the form I could find on VJ, Bangkok embassy website, and previous Packets 3. I don't know if it specific for that hospital, but they ask for form DS2053. This form in not in any the above-mentioned sources. Of course hospital didn't have a copy for her to use.

I found this form here:

http://travel.state.gov/Publications/DS-2053.pdf

Maybe this can be added to the list of VJ forms?

At the second visit, everything went really smooth. It took several hours, but she got a big sealed brown envelope for the interview, a copy of DS-3025 (for the future use in US), and bunch of holes in her arms and shoulder. The total cost was about $85.

Again, this is for Bangkok Embassy in Thailand.

Good luck every one.

SanFrancisco,

The hospital should have had the form. Which hospital did she use, just out of curiosity?

One would think they should have it. It was Bumrungrad International Hispital.

Bumrungrad is telling my wife that they cannot hand her the medical documents!! They are 'in the mail' (although 'the mail' is apparantly slower than normal somehow) and that the Embassy does not allow her to take the documents herself. :o We know this is NOT the case as everyone at the Embassy had those envelopes with medical information. We don't know what to do!

wow portlander this is awful news for you! what a strange thing did you try emailing the hospital i found them very helpful when i was setting up an appointment for my bf a couple of months ago. see if you can get to a hospital administrator of sorts. maybe even just pay the hospital to have a brand new work up if it is possible.

best of luck to you all!

We will go to a different hospital. Problem is BNH has a bad reputation for doing the same thing already, so the wife is really not looking forward to that. (same thing = holding the medical documents hostage to 'further testing' ) Bumrungrad has already gotten several hundred dollars out of us for this BS. They have a cow they can keep milking, you see...

Bumrungrad has a good reputation, but there are PLENTY of similar stories about it. Search Thaivisa.com to find a few.

They still will not give a copy of the sealed info to my wife. I'll need another copy when she gets herre for the AOS (right?) >.<

**** *********** *************

What is so hard about forwarding approved papers? she hasn't seen her baby son for 9 months now!!! Her birthday is next week. Why are they doing this? >.<

When she goes into the Embassy monday, when will she get her visa? Will it be monday or tuesday? Wed? I need to rebook another plane ticket....

The 2 day visa thing has very little to do with this. THey pretty much said come in next monday just because. Its a monday and looks good on the paperwork. In reality, they accept docuemnt submissions every day, but they just told her to come monday. they COULD do it sooner if they wanted.... She is going in today(er tomorrow?) to try to get the visa despite what they said about coming in monday, but may not be successful.

Of course, on Sunday, the visa fees go up and I will lose $800 to the new and improved USCIS. Thats money I had planned to spend on my wife traveling a little bit together.

At least I will finally get to see her - that is true ... excpt that is exactly what I was saying last week. I'll be happy when she is in my arms. Not until then...
