According to the uscis website, they are processing vawa cases filed up to May 9th.
August 2016 is valid for other cases but not for vawa

Bold if your Vawa case was filed in April, May 2016  and they did not adjudicate yet then you should set up infopass. But if you filed in June/July  2016 wait a little bit more to go to infopass .

What do you base your statement on and what do you think it happened with the cases filed until August that are still showing not adjudicated?

Since we are family i want to thank everybody on this forum because of the info people are getting from here is amazing.i want to asked, do we really need lawyers ? with due respect i have not seen what lawyers are doing in this type of care. today i told my lawyer that his services are no longer  need, how can i have a lawyer who don't even know my name or my case, i have to explain what my case is about to him each time i call him. He is only interested in money i feel so bed but just remembered that you guys are always here to help, Sandranj thanks so much  you are a blessing to us, i just conclude my (lpc)  licensed professional counselor soon i will be able to help other who are in need of counseling services here thanks guys

My statement is based on the USCIS  timeline. Some officers work faster than others, that being said some cases are a little bit behind. 

 

The immigration  officers in Vermont  are doing  an outstanding  job adjudicating 12.0000/15.000 vawa cases per year plus  T visa  and between 12.000 to 16.000 U, despite Uscis can just grant 10.000 U visas per year.

C31 means vawa approved. And that you are eligible for EAD

C31 doesn't mean VAWA approved. When someone files form I-751 category C31 the person will obtain the work permit JUST AFTER VAWA APPROVAL.
