Mid of August and not updates? Yeah, probably I still have some months ahead. This waiting time is a big test of patience and faith. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi lifewithjoy,I also filed my vawa case on January, I just got my driver license yesterday, thank God!!ready to go start looking for a job.

I sent mine in September last year. Who filed in January was Hopeful diva.

I believe you need to choose other and then explain that you have a pending vawa petition ( something like that) or that you have a Vawa approved, if is your case.

 Recall your vawa was approved in Jan 2017. Did you get an interview date yet?

Hi -here is the full details:  It lasted 10 mins.  It was an older lady (60's) Officer Godard.  She made me swear in and repeated all questions in the I-485.  She then asked me if I was married and I said no and she took a copy of my DL, Passport and divorce cert.  She asked how I entered, the last date of entry - I answered. 

 

She then smiled and said 10 days is when they will let me know the decision - she asked if I left the US after the last entry I said no.  She asked if I worked - I gave her my offer letter, W2 and pay stubs thus far.  I also signed a waiver of attorney presence.

 

I then kindly requested that she changed my name on my green card back to my maiden name  - she asked why didn't I do this at the divorce- I said I was not at the hearing due to low funds - she looked at thee divorce cert and remarked she didn't realize he filed for divorce.  She asked why didn't I file for the divorce is said "Ma'am I was not in touch with him and I had no money to go through this procedure".  She said okay.

 

Today I checked my status online : It indicated my name was updated.  The officer did say she'd ask her supervisor to approve this. 

 

Fingers crossed - hopefully I get the card in the mail.

Got another rfe to get the gonorrhea test done since the dr didn't complete this in Aug.  Now the status says they've received the info and will be reviewing case again.  Please pray that I get approved- father Lord you know how important this is and how much I've been through.  Pray for me all as I do the same for you all.

@patienceisvirtue I hope you get approved soon. I just completed my medical exam too. My lawyer is sending the AOS this week.
