Hi Folks, I am flying now. I  left NYC 10 hours ago. I was able to fly over the North Pole, Arctic Sea and right now I am flying over the Ural Mountains in Russia. I will arrive in Japan within 4 hour

Hello Everyone!

i just received another letter saying that in order to speed up my i-485 they transfered my case to USCIS-Nbc and that office will notify me Of the decision made on this aplication or petition.

any thoughts based on experiences you'all have seen before?

 When Vermont approves the case they ship the file electronically to the local office,  after a few hours the local office ships the case to NBC, then  NBC after 30/45 days ship the case back to the local office.

@sadness1 It seems like your case is going through the regular path as explained by Sandra.

May 2016 retained an attorney and started to prepare my VAWA petition. 

11/08/2016 mailed my packet

11/28/2016 USCIS rejected my packet (expired forms) :(((  

11/29/2016 Mailed my packet again Via ExpressMail (I-360, I-485, I-864w, I-765, I-912, G-325A) with previous rejection notice on top & a request to expedite EAD

12/14/2016 Date on the NOA  

12/31/2016 Attorney emailed my Prima Facie (Notice date 12/19/2018)   (180 days)

01/14/2017 Mailed my husband’s birth certificate with the blue receipt that came with my Prima Facie

01/17/2018 I-360 online Update (correspondence received)

12/25/2016 Notice for Biometrics

01/12/2017 Biometrics completed

01/31/2017 EAD update (Ordered my new card)

02/04/2017 My first EAD delivered.

02/06/2017 Picked my EAD & applied for SSN

02/14/2017 Applied for state ID

02/15/2017 Applied for Medicaid

06/03/2017 Received my Prima Facie (180 days)

What's your date?

Well hopefully you get a decision by the end of this month. Seems like they will be working on august and sept applications this may.

Thank you, Hopeful diva, for your kind words. Well, would be a true miracle if I had an answer this month. Hopefully, until Jul they can have a decision about my case.

For me, 4 months this month... I filed in January. Still have a couple of more months to go ... Hopefully no RFEs

USCIS will not ask for the old passport to check any visa. In Vawa cases even those that entered without inspection can adjust status. Just take the police report with you when you have interview.

 

The IO gave you wrong information. To change the address in your I-360 you MUST WRITE A LETTER asking to change the address and you must NOTARIZE.  Keep in mind USCIS  is terrible updating the address.Wait 10 days after you submitted the letter and then go to infopass to confirm if they changed your address ok.

 

File a new AR11 regarding your I-485 to reflect the correct address.

Thx a lot Sandranj .. I will definitely send notorized letter this time and I also changed for I 485 online on AR11... Hopefuly it gets done...  I guess my whole life is messed up..

Mine is Mid August and still nothing. Just we waived fees. @sandraj Your August 2016 Approvals, are they early, mid or late August? Just anxiously trying to find where I am in the line.
