And the anxiety keeps growing when we see the processing dates getting pushed back. But to get rid of anxiety for the day we have to keep ourselves busy. Something productive. May be learn a new technology if anyone wants to get into IT or are already in IT.

Hi sandranj,

 

I am looking to apply for naturalization march 2017 based on VAWA.

1-If I moved from my state now to another state,do I have to wait for 3 months before I can file for naturalization or no?

2-If USCIS found out that i made a mistake in green card or forget to include required info ,would they cancel naturalization and cancel green card as well?

3-What is the average time frame for naturalization process if I applied in March?when I expect to get my US passport?

Hi guys, im new to this forum. Basically i  got married in november 2016 and submitted i130 and 1485 in December 2016. The application was rejected because i did not include the biometrics fee.

 

I was unable to resubmit the application because things changed between me and hubby. He has become physically and emotionally abusive towards me and has stolen the money we originally used to file the i130 and 1485.

 

I did not call the police about the abuse because he threatened to withdraw the application if i did. However, I did call the police to report that he stole the money from me.

 

I have a lawyer who is filing the i360 and i485 etc for me. This is the list of things i have to accompany the application.

 

1. Copy of hubby's birth certificte (US citizen)

 

2. Marriage certificate.

 

3. Copy of bills in hubby's name and my name.

 

4. Affadavit from a mutual friend who witnessed the physical abuse and knew of our marriage and us residing together. He witnessed hubby choking and punching me.

 

5. Affadavit from another friend that i told about my experience. 

 

6. Original Affadavit from my dad and best friend in support of the marriage (originally submitted with the i130 and i485).

 

7. Affadavit from a friend who i told about what was going on.

 

8. Police report from where i called the police when he stole the money.

 

9. My personl statement explaining the abuse etc.

 

10. Local police clearance 

 

11. Police clearance from the UK as i gave only been here for 6 months.

 

Is this list of stuff ok?

Mine was received by Vermont on Dec 21 and I have not received Receipt of Notice. Please tell me what date did you receive your Receipt of Notice.

Do you have joint lease, bank account? Is your petition primarily based on physical or emotional abuse?

Double check your tracking info like Peru1234 did, sometimes lawyers lie  say it's done while it's still sitting in a drawer just to get you to stop asking.

It's expected to receive the notice within 30 days since it's the weekend may be give it another weekday and call on Tuesday.

 

If you discover your packet wasn't delivered last month then no need to worry

No i bought my house before we got married and his name is not on the title. My petition will be mainly based in physical abuse... no joint bank account because hubby wanted me to add him to my account but told me he wouldnt be putting his salary into the account. He was always asking for money but not contributing to bills etc....he even threatened not to send in my adjustment application if i didnt give him some money which he was asking me for.

He also wanted me to sign my house over to him in order for use it as an asset as his salary did not meet the requirements under the poverty guidelines. I refused to transfer the house in his name and thats kind of where the issues began. His name is on the gas, home insurance and waste collection accounts. Im so embarassed about the situation i find myself in, i cant understand how he could just change so much over a short period of time.

 

Im embarassed to tell my family...they were with us for thanksgiving and thought he was lovely. I dont know how to tell them about what happened.

Gramercy, I am the one who mailed the package, I have USPS tracking number and I tracked it, it was received on Dec 21 at 3pm and it was even signed for by the person who received it.

So am 100% sure its been received, I checked to make sure the address was correct and everything was fine. Am getting worried.

I hope you receive it by Monday. I know how worried you must be so try calling USCIS 1800-375-5283.

I hope I receive it. Thank you so much for your response in the middle of the night, I will call them on the 30th if I don't receive anything by then. I really needed someone to talk to about this. Icant even sleep!

Did you file for a fee waiver (i-912) It adds an overhead time and if you have an attorney that you worked with check with him / her if they received the receipts.

No, just I-360, the legal team helping me told me the only have to file only  I-360, once it gets approval then I have o file the rest.
