Hi all,

Today I received the VAWA and EAD approval notice. I am so happy right now. I read some people have received the prima facie extension while they did not asked for it. So did I. Therefore, I want to share with you my experience.

I found out that my VAWA was approved in March through infopass. Last week, I received a notice for prima facie extension. I was surprised and wondered why USCIS sent me this without my request. So I contacted my congressman office. The lady at the office was really nice to me. She was able to get in touch with Vermont office and I think USCIS has realized that they sent me a wrong notice. After that, they sent the approval notice the day after my congressman inquired it.

I hope this helps other members who are still waiting.

@ prayandbelieve Congratulations on your approval I'm surviving on your happy news it gives me hope to be approved as well :)

best of luck with the next chapter of your life. xx (F)

The lawyer told me that if I bring this to a trial my daughter will have to go and testify and that is the last thing I need for her to do she is just going to start therapy because she doesn't wanna talk to anyone about that

Not mine she has helped me.

I did not say the Senator will not help her,  I said they don't like to help aliens.  I know not only 10/20  people but hundreds of people that contacted their Senators and they never got called them back. It's advised to contact the Congressperson and not the Senators.

We were finishing my 601a waiver but since this happened I kick him out of the house and got a restraining order from us

Amaya why do you need a waiver?

I handled some VAWA cases of abused children and the cases were approved. Most of the cases had a police report,  just 2/3 cases didn't have a police report but they had a  hospital record. What proof are you submitting that your child was molested? To file a police report is up to you but she should have at least a hospital record showing that she was molested.

I have the order protection wich states that she was molested and also I will get a report from the therapists and a letter from child protective service wich indicates that she indeed was molested
