Hi B.km

 

Someone mentioned in "VAWA part 7" that she did the same as you and then resubmitted a new I-795 with C9 instead. This shall help you get your EAD sooner (assuming your spouse is a USC of course)

You mentioned that on your infopass the immigration officer said your VAWA was approved, that means you should have the letter by now and the EAD you submitted in this case may be issued anyway (may be ask Sandranj to weigh in on this one)

Did you receive your VAWA approval letter? and has your I-485 been updated?

I havent recieved anything yet and 485 status hasnt been updated. 😐

I called uscis they can not give me any info since its vawa. Lawyer keep saying waaaaaait........... im getting frustrated.

Can you please carefully explain to me whats different between c9 and c31if you have a time?  It seems i can not understand the differences.

Hey everyone! I don't know where else to post! 

I’m applying for citizenship using the three year rule based on VAWA. In 3 weeks I will be able to submit the n-400 I’m doing everything myself and wanted some feedback from you guys. 

 

I’m currently working on the cover letter. I know in the cover letter I need to explain the three year rule and attach the 89 Memo . I have a record.

Do i have to submit evidence of the marriage? 

 

Could anyone share their timeline?

I can’t afford a lawyer and I’m nervous I’m going to miss something.

Hello, could you please share us your vawa timeline?  How many months did it take to get approved?

Originally when you applied in July you were eligible to submit your I-765 under category c9 (AOS pending) in that case EAD is issued within 90 days (approximately)

 

When you file under C31 then your EAD will be issued after the VAWA approval.

 

Since your VAWA has already been approved then you should have the EAD approved but there's also a slight possibility that choosing the wrong category might cause a delay.

(I'm not sure about that part, send a pm to sandranj)

 

In all cases contact your representative to inquire for you and request expediting your AOS since it will settle everything for you or EAD if needed (in your case i'd try to expedite aos if possible)

Either im really stupid person or i got a wrong lawyer for myself. But i just learned that my laywer  hasnt even apply for ead yet. Her reason was for me to get approved then to apply. Story of my life. If she applied for ead july 2016 at the same time as 1360, i wouldve gotten my ead long time ago.
