Thank you Sandra,I know after that it will be a long waiting but at least I can get my dl and work.

Yes, some people get it sooner, usually about a month from Biometrics. But you always want to give yourself a little extra time just in case and so you're not disappointed if it doesn't come exactly in a month 😉

Can someone tell me how come some people get their ead card before i360 approved but some people can not have it until their i360 approved. I'm just curious. What makes it different?

Thank you

If the vawa petitioner is married to a US citizen they are eligible to file I-765, I-131 & I-485 concurrently with I-360 and receive their EAD within approximately 90 days while their VAWA petition is pending;  otherwise the petitioner has to wait for VAWA to be approved first then file for I-765, I-131 & I-485 afterwards.

You don't "have to" wait,  you have the option to file the above mentioned applications however, if your VAWA is denied you will face removal proceedings.

some can afford to wait without employment and choose to play it safe so they don't take a risk while others need to have EAD to get by while their case takes months to be reviewed it's a choice you should make depending on your circumstances.

Dear sandranj,

I went to infopass to see whats going on because it was taking too long without any update as you suggested. And officer said, its actually approved last month. So what do i do this point? I file i 360, 485 and ead card form all together. How do i get ead now? Even though i filed, idk how the process is. Can you plz help me?

Your questions today are a bit confusing since your post from yesterday states you already filed everything together and your VAWA was approved! like Sandranj said you just have to wait! and f you need to expedite your EAD go to your congressman to inquire on your behalf.

I went to clerk of court and learned he filed divorce on Feb 22 and published in the newspaper on March 20. I didnt know about this until I checked this week and learned that he filed motion for default on March 30 claiming he cannot contact me.The judge wrote the Petitioner did not exhaust all means to contact me before he published. What can I do about this please?

I filed vawa on Mar21. But I learned online 130 was denied on March 1. but 485 still pending because I requested to hold at the time of interview. I was given 84 days from.

I sent usps receipt while waiting for notice from Vermont just to show i complied within the time allowed because I read here that it takes months to receive notice. Is this ok?

Is there anyway to know the content of 130 decision since I'm not living with him anymore?

Should I send another letter to Vermont that I was served divorce but I didn't know just until lately?

How will divorce proceedings affect my vawa case?

Thanks and God bless everyone.

If you have been divorced for two years or less you are still eligible to file for VAWA and since your divorce is very recent it shouldn't negatively affect your case, but you should obtain a copy of the divorce decree once it's finalized.
