Hi Folks.I am so busy this year that I didn't have time to post here.  I had since January 2017 until now 27 VAWA cases approved ( 12 people are Visa Journey members) and 2 of them live abroad.

Many people do not read all VAWA threads but please send me your case to review just if you have a police report or a Psychological evaluation done with a diagnosis of major depression and/or post-traumatic disorder. Please DO NOT attend therapy with a social worker, choose a counselor or a  psychologist. I saw many evaluations done by social workers and 99% of the evaluations were horrible, to say the least. USCIS does not consider generic evaluations, the professional must draft the abuse IN DETAILS.

When you send me pa private message  or email me please you must include all messages that we exchanged because  I CANNOT remember all cases. Every week I receive over 100 emails regarding domestic violence and I get confused sometimes. When I ask questions please all questions must be answered otherwise I will not reply anymore. I do not have time to email or pm several times asking the same question over and over again ok

Just a quick update.

-Applied for VAWA late june. Did not submit i485, only i360 and work permit. Husband was a greencard holder but I had an approved i130 from back in 2009 so i could've filled concurrently. I didnt want to chance it, incase my case was denied be put into removal proceedings. Hence the reason I filed only i360 and i765.

-Applied late June

-Notice date July 5th 2016/primafacie
-Approval February 14th 2017

-got my EAD in the mail yesterday.

In the process of doing my i485 now.

KEEP THE FAITH. I must say I was very scared and anxious submitting my VAWA because I had no police reports(I did have hospital reports) and my psychologist evaluation was only about 2 pages long. It was actually straight to the point, but I've seen everyone saying you need lots of pages up to 20. But I guess it was well drafted because my case was approved. Praise God, I've been through it all and it's almost over.

Having a hospital report the person doesn't need a psychological  evaluation.  If someone has a police e report,or a hospital report or stayed in   a shelter then it doesnt matter how many pages the evaluation has, if the person decides to submit an evaluation, because USCIS will adjudicate based in the primary  evidences submitted.

If the person doesn't have what  I specified above then is advised to attend 5/7  therapy sessions and have a GREAT psychological  evaluation done. A generic evaluation  has 2/3 pages a detailed evaluation usually has 9/13 pages.

CONGRATULATIONS.

Thank you  for your kind message,   and I am doing my best to help you  when you  get here.

People from Houston please contact me through pm. I really need everyone help/ ideas  to help this young  lady that is coming to the U.S with a child and she doesn't know anyone in the  U.S besides me.

Many people probably will ask why  does she want to move to the U.S? Well it's because the Law says she can, period!. The reason that brought  each one of you  here doesn't matter,it matters that she is doing what  the Law allows her to do,that is it.

YOU have to ask to renew your prima facie because USCIS  will not renew automatically.

Hi Folks.  I met four times some domestic violence survivors   in NYC in the past 3 years  and I will  set up a new meet up  soon in NYC again. This year I will organized a meet up  in Houston, Texas. I do not have the  date yet but  please send me a private message who lives in Houston.

Update: Two survivors that I helped years ago became attorneys in the  U.S in 2017.

Every 4 minutes someone is battered in the U.S. Domestic violence is worldwide epidemic but is great to see people changing their lives. Last year  two of fhe survivors  that I helped one  joined the navy and another one the Army.

In 2016  two survivors  became doctors in the U.S. One survivor  got a job with the United Nation, 3 survivors found love and got married in 2017...I have so many stories, but  I am glad to see that some survivors  went a step further to help people suffering domestic violence like they suffered one day.

I have empathy towards all survivors  but I have rules to help the survivors, and it makes me mad when survivors want to impose their rules how I should help them and  I  just can say NO WAY, NO HOW , hell no!

I review over 10 cases per week, at night and on weekends.. I never asked anything  in return  besides be polite , follow my rules or hire an attorney.

I ask to all new members here to read all VAWA threads, specially from part 4 to 7.  I can't answer questions over and over when I already answered ok. Regarding  USCIS  timeline I will not answer anymore, just please check  USCIS web site.

pinklion if she knows how to draft an evaluation then you can submit the evaluation, but in 20 years I never read a single good evaluation drafted by a social worker.Usually, social workers are unfamiliar with psychological evaluations routinely submitted in support of applications for  a Vawa cases or Immigration in general.“
