4.copy of my spouse passport

Kindly correct me if i am wrong and add if something i have missed out

I just received my prima facie today. A step forward in my case I believe. So glad!   At least now I can apply for health care insurance/Medicaid and maybe financial aid  .. What other benefits can I get with it?

Okay, I will just wait for a decision on the pending one and if for any reason it is denied, then I'll just file another one immediately via Vermont. Thanks again for your response

That's where the problem is, didn't file concurrently because I already have one pending under the aos marriage based application. Hoping they approve that one soon

Then it's not a problem it's good to play safe if you can to avoid being subjected to removal God forbid. Let's just keep praying for our VAWA approval then xx

Yes hopefully months from now by Gods grace. But how come the system never updated that prima facie was issued. Mine was actually issued last month but just now checked my post office box today and picked it up

Case status doesn't change with prima facie only will change if there is correspondence (rfe) or decision made

Oh ok. I see! I'm going to be sending them a few more items very soon. Trying to avoid an RFE so that my case can possibly process smoothly. I didn't attach police clearance, I attached a statewide criminal check. Do you think I should obtain police clearance from my local police station and home country just to be on the extra safe side? Or is the previous possibly enough? I'm also thinking of adding more items to ensure stronger proof of bonafide marriage.

Police clearance from places you lived over 6 months in the past 3 yrs I suppose is sufficient, make sure you send all with the blue receipt you got with your prima facie, when they get it you shall see "correspondence received"

I filed in November VSC processing times seem to be a bit slow so I'll keep on praying.

Well you are already 4 months in, so that's good! Hopefully 4-5 months from now, you would or should have gotten a decision. I filed in January... Barely 2 months in.

I'm only about a month before you I think, but my process has been dragged by my lawyer since May 2016, I resubmitted again Nov 30th, I truly hope this one goes well & pray for all of us to get freedom after all the stress.

 

Anyway try to send your extra info soon, hopefully we won't be delayed by RFE's
