I am concerned that the mail carrier will think I am crazy.  I practically meet him at the mailbox.  This is just to get a receipt from the VSC that they have my stuff (although I know they physically have it because I sent it certified).  Years of untold things at the hands of my husband, you'd think I could handle waiting for forms to be processed.  I just want to work and be normal.

Bless you all for your incredible patience as you wait.

Sure I do agree with you @MsBoo Patience is all we can endure as we wait for response. My spouse burnt everything I had from the uscis, donated my personal belongings to the local thrift store and in addition withdrew her i130 thus my i485 was denied, huh been through a lot of untold stories from her with lots drama some of which I do remember makes me panic. Thank God I'm out and safe. Let's keep up praying and waiting. ???

Hi Ms Green, I hope your are doing well, and that your day is going fine too. I sent the amended for my I-765 (changing from c31 to c9), along with the letter to renew/extend my prima facie letter. It was delivered yesterday, and to my surprise I received and update on the I-360, saying they received my correspondence and it's status now says: Initial Review. Would you by chance know what that means? The word 'initial' is throwing me off, as it is a request for 'extension' letter. I patiently await your response.

It just means that someone is reviewing your request for prima facie extension. No need to worry, everything seems ok and if anything you'll just know that they received it and are working on it! Congrats :)

It all depends on how you filed your AOS and EAD. What did you put on your EAD? Is based on VAWA or on a pending AOS?

MsBoo try to mail a "change of address form" for your peace of mind.

or... as an alternative: Go to this link on USPS and see if this service is available in your area https://my.usps.com/mobileWeb/pages/intro/start.action you will receive emails with images of mail coming to your inbox (most the time)  you will just know what's coming but it won't necessarily protect your privacy if it gets in the wrong hands

Quick question. I filed I-360 by itself. It is still pending. I now want to file I-485 and I-765. Can I do this or do I have to wait for a decision on I-360?

If you have an immigration visa available you could file I-485/I-765. For example, the abusive spouse/ex-spouse is a US citizen, or you have an approval I-130 filed previously.

Thank you so much for the response. Would I send this to Vermont too or a different address?
