CALIFORNIA

I'm not quite sure, I believe they will transfer your i485 to NBC and then to your local office, and once they have an available date for interview they will schedule you but that can take months. It's best to ask Sandra or someone who has already been approved I'm still waiting and have a long way to go. I wish you the best in your journey.

If you  came here with K1 you  might have the AOS. approved without interview, considering your husband didn't  withdraw forms l130/l864, but if you are here with B2, F1 etc and suntitled the AOS through marriage then the  interview usually is set up  after 6/7 months from the date you submitted the AOS.

My marriage based AOS has been pending for 8 months now. Submitted in December. Should I schedule infopass?

That was a long wait. Congratulations!!

Next thing is for your i485 to be sent to NBC and then local office for scheduling of your interview

I see often people  who got married after  they received the NTA,  and later on the person was abused and file for VAWA. It's mandatory to submit along with the the VAWA documents a letter that you have to draft called "bonafide marriage exemption".You have to explain why you are seeking the exemption. You can draft something like this

                                                                             BONAFIDE  MARRIAGE EXEMPTION

August 11th, 2017

TO: USCIS

My name is xxxxx.I was born on xxxxx in xxxxx. I was  married to xxxxxxx (or I am married).

I was in  removal proceedings at the time of my marriage. I am requesting the bona fide marriage exemption based that I entered into  marriage with my husband (or ex husband/wife) in good faith  (enclosed documents).

We intended to establish a life together at the time of the marriage. The evidences  demonstrate that I  entered into marriage with my former husband(or wife) in good faith, as required by section 204(a)(1)(A)(iii)(I)(aa) of the Act. I meet the requirement  to establish eligibility for the exemption.

Very Truly Yours,
(name and signature
