Hi guys, I am putting together my VAWA application and evidence. I wanted to ask if I could send a request to expedite my petition along with the application when I file it. I believe I qualify under severe financial crisis. My return ticket home was financed by an organization that works against domestic violence in my home country when my life was threatend by my USC spouse. I've been depending on my parents since I got back because I can't find a job here. They're not employed either and they took a loan out with their house as a collateral for my marriage. They're in the verge of losing their house since it is getting increasingly hard for them to support me and keep paying bank the interest. I wish I could help them but unemployment is a serious issue where I live and the very few available jobs pay too little. So can I request an expedite since this financial crisis can be solved if I could move to the USA soon?

You can't expedite I-360. If you are in the US, you can apply to expedite I-765, I-131 and I-485 but it is rare that they grant this. When you are outside of the US, I believe you cannot expedite any of the paperwork.

Very unlikely that they would approve it. They hardly ever expedite i360s

You can ask to expedite your VAWA, but I don't believe that USCIS will expedite your case. I had 1 VAWA filed abroad expedited last year, and the immigrant visa was expeditedas well based on humanitarian reasons.

I think I'll try because it would help a lot if the expedite was granted. Do I mail the request to expedite along with the application or do I wait until they receive my application and put a request through a call?

This forum is so helpful. I usually browse, but I have a question I cant find the answer to anywhere.

If  VAWA is approved but 485/AOS is denied will USCIS start deportation proceedings? Or what happens?

I am just really worried and prefer to get mentally prepared for whatever could happen. God bless.

In 20 years I just saw 3 AOS denied, after Vawa approval, because 2 got married when Vawa petitions  were pending and one because of a felony.

Uscis usually starts removal proceedings after AOS denial but Uscis usually doesn't deny the  AOS when the person has the AOS approved. If the AOS was denied before the person filed vawa or when the Vawa was pendibg then she just needs to file a new Aos.

USCIS won't talk to you  over the phone regarding your VAWA.You can  submit the letter along with the form but probably USCIS will  not expedite  and in case of denial to expetite  they  will not inform you.

Sandranj,

I feel that I cannot live anymore.

I jost got notice that USCIS sent 3rd RFE

1st RFE was fonafide marriage and moral character.

2nd RFE was fonafide marriage and abuse evidence. So, I responded.

I just got notice from USCIS website that they sent 3rd RFE

I have no idea what I can do now. Do I have to meet another psychiatrist? I have no money for it.

Sandranj, you have lots of experiences on VAWA. Could you advise me what I can do. Could you mention some of your cases who got 3rd RFE

I missed my sister's wedding, my grandmother's funeral. what else do I need to miss......

Please help...

I applied for Vawa on January 2017 and till now I haven't heard from them. Anybody else here in my same situation?

Wow that's a long time to have heard nothing. So you don't have a receipt number? I applied in January 2017 as well but I received the receipt notice and prima facie. Did you also apply for the I-765?
