Mine was submitted in December. Last week, my joint sponsor called me saying that immigration contacted him about the affidavit he submitted for me and my ex husband. But I'm wondering why they would still be asking him questions about the affidavit of support when I already have an approved VAWA petition? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this. My file is still at the NBC. But I'm guessing since they called him, means that they have started to work on it getting transferred to my local office

NYC is the worst they so backed up its taking almost o month to a year to just get a date for interview....sigh..  @Hopeful diva

 What did the immigration ask? Were they confirming the details in the affidavit?

I have no idea, they actually called him during work hours and since he was unable to pick, they left him a voicemail asking that he return their call and that they would like to speak to him regarding the affidavit he submitted for me. I will be contacting him(my joint sponsor) soon to ask him if he has spoken with them and what the update from them was. But I just find it weird that they would be asking about an affidavit of support even with an approved vawa.

Yes. I remember petitioners who got approved before say the immigration did't contact their friends for the affidavits they wrote.

Quick question. I live in NY but about 1 month ago my I485 status showed my case was transfered to CSC California service center. Anyone else this happened to?
