I often see people staying in an abusive relationship because they have pets and can't take the pets to a shelter or to a friend's house.

 

There are shelters in the U.S for  pets of domestic violence victims  http://www.thehotline.org/help/pets/

It says aug 8 for vawa applicants

Speaking of processing times, any new/recent approvals? I'm assuming most of the July filers have heard back and we are into Aug/Sept now?? Best of luck to you all!

VSC is now adjudicating October  2016.  This week I had 2 cases filed in October 2016 approved, but I have a bunch of cases filed in September 2016 still pending.

@sandranjDo you still have any from August 2016? Any other August 2016 petitioners with pending applications? I am also one.

Hi Sandra, I filed in early September 2016. If a case is not approved will they send you something? I pray God grants us all approvals. Sandra, thank you for being the way you are, you are greatly appreciated.

All my petitions filed in August 2016 were adjudicated.

USCIS does not deny the VAWA petition without  issuing an RFE . When they issue the RFE the person will have 87 days to provide what they are asking.
