Little update:

Filed i360 in June 2016

I360 approved in February 2017

Filed i485 and new i765 June 2017

(I submitted i765 along with the i360 in 2016 but for some reason there was a discrepancy with my i765, hence the reason I had to submit a new one)(did info pass and had it rectified about 2 weeks ago)

Did fingerprints on July 7th 2017, the said evening got notification that EAD was mailed to me. FINALLY! I can get a job, my social and drivers license atlast. Now just waiting on greencard interview. Keep hope alive guys.

You shouldn't worry since you have your green card and if your husband is smart he wouldn't want to highlight the fact he abused you.

In either case even if you didn't have status; child support is a separate matter & you have rights regardless,so I don't see how it's relevant but it may help to discuss your concerns with your attorney so he/she can have the full picture and use it to protect your child's rights.

Just answer that you are a resident permanent of the US. If his attorney asks you how you got your green card tell him you are not obligated to discuss your immigration status, and if he wants he can subpoena USCIS, of course USCIS will not answer him ever.

Whew, I have my combo card in my hands. The wait continues for the decisionon I-360 but I am soooo happy I can work and travel. They never updated my case to say my card was mailed or produced, I just saw the envelope in my mailbox. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations! Did they update that your case was approved before they mailed EAD to you?

Folks  I am on visa journey  since 2005 and I helped thousands of  people to have their VAWA petitions approved without  charging my fees , but from now one I will change a few things regarding my help. If you have an attorney and you need that I help you  with your RFE  answer I will not  do this work free of charge anymore.  I will continue helping those that can't afford  to hire an attorney without charging any fees .

60% of people that I helped paid  $5 to $10k to their attorneys and the majority got an RFE and their attorneys just told  them"answer  the RFE"  then  they found me here, asked my help and  I answered their  RFE (8/10 pages). The attorneys were  paid without doing his/her work.I will not help people here for free when their attorneys  get the payment and the credit  regarding the vawa approval.

Every week I get a bunch of emails asking me to to answer the  RFE and their attorneys refuse to answer the  Request of evidence . As I mentioned before if the person can't afford to hire  an an attorney I will  be here helping them to review the forms, affidavits and answer  the request of evidence,if necessary.

I agree that is totally fair to you, and people should understand and accept your position and pay your fee.

CZRRRR long time man. Yes, you have to submit prove of bonafide marriage, IRS transcripts, and a certified copy of the deposition transcript.

CZRR your charge does not preclude you from obtaining Citizenship but USCIS does not take slightly this kind the record that you have and they might consider you lack good moral character. Make sure that in your cover letter you explain the circumstances surrounding the charge.  Explain why you entered in the car and mention you were fleeing from abuse, as you mentioned in your VAWA case. Be very specific and you don't have to write down one page.

Mention nobody got hurt, tell then it was your first and only offense. Mention about your professional life before and after the charge, are you still waiting for the State? it's a good thing tho. They will have the transcript in front of them but it's advised to explain in the cover letter these points ok and apologize for what happened.

Hey Sandra! I'm almost ready to submit my n400 . I just wanted to ask you something .  For the explanation of arrests and violation of probation. Should I explain everything in one letter. Or should I have multiple explanations letters?

So so far I have to explain Part 12- questions 23,24,25,27,28,34,and 35 .

thank you !!

I will always help those who  can't afford to hire an attorney, but It's not fair when people ask me to do their attorney's job.  I spent days preparing each case when their attorneys sit there doing nothing.

What's up man.I am glad to hear that you will submit already your N400  soon.I remember your case.

You don't have to explain in a separate letter about questions 23,24,25,27,28, you must explain your arrest charge and dismissal in the question 29.

The questions 34 and 35 you should submit two letters (sample bellow). Put the same date in the form and in the separate letter ok. If your removal was terminated submit a copy along with the letter.  I just drafted one letter explaining question 34, but submit another explaining question 35, with respective question and answer.
