Just curious to know - what happens in a situation where someone leaves their abusive spouse, files for vawa, has vawa approved and green card subsequently approved and then reconciles and gets back with spouse that was abusive to them... will this have an impact on their application for citizenship?  Cc: @sandranj

Yep  the person will be scrutinize and the person even can have the green card revoked. USCIS probably will  send the case to the Immigration Court, and I saw two cases like this before. One of the girls was a visa Journey member. When she applied for naturalization the reconciliation came up and her case was foward to the Immigration Court, and she had her GC revoked. She is still living in the U.S without status. I talked to her a few times after her GC was revoked. She divorced her husband after the GC was revoked but she screwed up her case big time.

I don't see how someone could go bck to an abuser. After fleeing and filing vawa. I would NEVER do that, even if he is the only man on this planet.

We all have made some choices for which we paid and may be still paying for now.

Some return to the abuser due to low self esteem others may have just take vawa for granted and weren't abused to begin with! only God knows, but either way I hope she learned from her mistake!

I was wondering what the answer was for part 2 question 1 on form i485 for someone with a pending i360. Is it #1 that states i have an approved petition? Or is it "other" ? I chose "other" and i explained that I'm the wife of usc with a pending i360

choosehave an approved petition, because they will adjudicate your AOS just when your VAWA is approved.

Thank you sandranj. I have already sent my i-485 since april 2017  but i chose "other" and i explained that I'm the spouse of a usc with a pending  i360. I have my biometric appointment on the 17th of june. Will this cause any problems with the adjudication of my i485 once i360 is appoved?

Hello guys. I just recalled that i had text messages from my spouse Asking me to come back also aknowledging that he really hurt me and apologizing for the things that he did to me. I will send them to uscis as proof. He sound apologetic but nothing he could do or say will make me reconcile with this mentally disabled person. He did what he did knowingly and with a purpose.  Therefore he will never change.  I have my son, my life, my health  and my sanity to protect.

I heard about some cases that some people chose others and put I-360 pending and as far I know they did not have problems.

My i-360 (submitted Aug 2016) and I-485 (submitted April 2017)  are currently pending and I just received the receipt notice for my I-765. I want to see if I can get my employment authorization expedited. Are the I-765s processed by the VAWA unit or a separate unit within VSC? The reason why I ask is that I have already submitted one congressional inquiry for my 360 and don't want to appear too pushy. Any thoughts?

Congress only inquired about your case status, a request to expedite based on financial hardship or need should be submitted in writing with the supporting documents.

It's normal when you need something to utilize all your means and make it happen, not pushy when you're in need!

Hi guys and @sandranj. Hope you all are well. I need your help in my case. So my interview for I-485 under marriage is pending and ready to be scheduled for an interview, I'm hoping I'll get an interview date this month. My EAD was sent back to USCIS because for some unknown reason, and I requested to resend the card on my new address. I updated the address online and got an infopass to check if they updated it, and they did. Now the response to my request to resend the card came in my new address but instead of the card they sent me AR-11 form. What should I do from here? Should I reply the AR-11 back or should I just tell them in the interview?

You should go to infpass to find out the reason they send the card back to USCIS.
