My EAD took 90 days.It was unusual that the day I was summoned for fingerprints is when I found out about my VAWA denial and decided not to go for them.And a month later I instead recieved an RFE for passport photos.Later it was approved and my card hard a sticker on it no fingerprints.

Thanks to wonderful Sandra and others on this forum.

 My VAWA was approved on May 06, 2017.

 I requested that my I-485 with I-130 interview scheduled for July 2016 be suspended pending determination of my I-360.  

I filed another I-485 in July 2016 for I-360.

I have two I-485 pending, one for I-130 and another for I-360.

 

Timeline.

I-130 with I-485 filed in July 2015

I360 VAWA filed in December 2015

RFE (I-360) for Good moral character in December 2015. USCIS received response in February 2016

I-485 with I-130 interview in Houston, TX, July 2016. Request for suspension of interview was granted in July 2016.

A new I-485 with I360 filed in July 2016.

RFE (I-360) for Good Faith Marriage in October 2016. USCIS received response in January 2017

I-360 approval in May 2017.

 

Does anyone know when I will get the interview for I-485 with the VAWA case? I am currently located in Houston Texas.

I have a question, after the vawa approved, what's next if u have a prior deportation, I heard u have to reopen your case of deportation, go to court, and after that u go for GC interview , I would like to know more about that , please share with me your experiences, and if I can apply for advance parole!! Thank you

Evidence of Good Faith Marriage I sent.
Putting the spouse on a property I bought before marriage that she is co-owner
Assisted her daughter from her previous marriage financially with her university education
Pictures (USCIS responded pictures are not acceptable for good faith marriage)
Affidavit on our courtship to convince USCIS I did not go into marriage solely for immigration benefits.

I explained to USCIS that it was difficult to have much co-mingling of finances as the spouse wanted to steal all my savings, in addition to the mental and emotional abuse.

Congratulations. Why did you have to file another i360 in July 2016 when you had already filed one in Dec 2015? Just curious

Thank you. The post was confusing. I did not file a new i360 in July 2016. I filed a new i485 (on the basis of i360 i filed in December 2015) in July 2016.

Oh ok. I thought if we do not file i485 concurrently with i360, then we can file i485 only after i360 approval.

I-485 can be filed after I360 has been submitted as long as the spouse is a US citizen.

Hello everyone 

@sandranj - I have concerns I hope you can help. I had RFE of good moral. The lawyer said she is trying to put the previously filed I-485 to my I-360 so we should just send the live scan now and her concerns were my husband would pull out his sponsorship. she'll argue to check the fingerprints I gave in biometrics then it will be not necessary to give the police clearance from home country. So I did what she said and sent only live scan and affidavit but I'm concerned she was not right and incompetent about it and that I should have applied and waited for police clearance from my country. 

What do you think? Can I still submit police clearance from home country now by follow up?

Once you answered the RFE you cannot submit any document regarding the RFE anymore. USCIS will not consider because all RFE answer must be submitted with the original Request of Evidence. Now you have to wait to see what they decide.

I don't understand if what she said was even legit by saying "she will argue about checking my fingerprints then none of showing my other police clearance is necessary " 

 

she is making my case prolong
