I have very few pics with husband together. first my phone was broken and I have to give it to At&T store so insurance send me new one. In new one I have very little pics together. I collected some pics from wedding which I sent through Internet to my relatives. Plus several more pics. But I have a lot of pics with our dog and it his car selfies and his selfies I have a lot.  Is it very bad? I have two broken laptops, I could try to get them repaired maybe there I have something I don't remeber.

And almost all our pics except wedding are selfie we did together.

Pictures don't prove that you had a bonafide marriage, and submitting pictures with the dog is pointless.

Try to send in your wedding photographs along with other documentations that prove bonafide marriage. His selfies, pictures of dog and all that do not really matter. The only pictures that really matter are the ones that you two are in.

You must attend the interview, show them that you filed l360 and ask to put your  AOS on hold  until Vermont adjudicates your  self petition (l360).

I woke up now and  I got  13 emails about  VAWA approval, and 6 are members of Visa Journey.Praise the Lord.

Hello Sandra, thanks for guiding all. Your answers and information are such big help. Do you feel the approvals are getting faster now? Last year approval time was 6-7 months but looks like after November is slowed to 8-9 months. Do you think now it is improving?

Folks I explained here several times, and I will explain again, nobody has a VAWA case approved because of  pictures. USCIS considers the "intent when entering into marriage". I have one VAWA case that the couple lived together for 24 hours, she was a member of VJ, and another case approved, they lived together for  6 days. They did not have a single document together. It doesn't matter if you lived together 1 year and submit 100/300 pictures together, if you can't prove your intent when entered into marriage your case will be denied, period!. VAWA has a different standard than the AOS family based category. Pictures showing the abuse suffered is a different case.

Years ago a member of VJ posted here about her AOS DENIAL, she has a child with her ex-husband(the abuser) but USCIS considered that she did not enter into marriage in good faith, her VAWA was approved but the AOS was denied.  I believe having a child has more weight that submitting pictures right? guess what...USCIS considered her intent when she entered into marriage and they decided she got married to circumvent the Immigration Laws.

We have another case, a VJ member, that submitted 17 affidavits, and had 350 guests in her wedding in Pakistan, her AOS was denied as well. She asked my help after the denial, her attorney screwed up her case sending hundreds of pictures and several affidavits, and her own affidavit was terrible, there was no mention of the courtship in details. I helped her and the second VAWA was approved, we submitted just 4/5 pictures, affidavits from her parents and from one sibling and her own affidavit with details of the Courtship (13 pages) and her case was approved.

USCIS issues all the time RFE because the person failed to describe the Courtship. USCIS is looking for proof to see if the person got married for love and not to circumvent the US Immigration Laws. You can submit pictures with your VAWA of course but don't expect to have a VAWA approved because you submitted hundreds of pictures.

Sue before was taking 4/5 months to have a Vawa case adjudicated, now is taking 7/9months.

Hi all, first off: Thank you so much to you Sandra. I only just created my VJ account but over the last year, I have read through a lot of your valuable advice and it has given me hope :)

I am hoping to receive some good news soon. My I-360 was received by Vermont on August 15, 2016. I received a Prima Facie around 1 month later. Since then there have been no further visible updates to the case. I am really hoping that I will hear something toward the end of the month, and will of course report back here if I do. There is nothing more that I would like than to help all of you waiting and wondering like myself.

Sandra, do you have any rough ideas when I might hear something back? I have noticed that the case progress has slowed right down since the end of last year!

My best to you all!

On another quick note, I ended up submitting my I-485 and I-765 at the end of last month. One of my major regrets was not submitting this sooner, since the cases are taking quite a long time to be adjudicated, and it would have been nice to obtain work authorization earlier.

My EAD/AOS documents were sent to the Chicago Lock Box. Despite the fact that it has been three weeks since they received the packet, I have not received a receipt notice, nor has the check been cashed. However, it is my understanding that this delay isn't entirely unusual. Hopefully I will be able to report back my EAD progress to the forum too. All the best!

Why did you send to Chicago Lock Box? I remember that someone sent to Chicago Lock Box but being transferred to VSC.

As far as I am aware, and according to this link: https://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses , with a pending I-360, The EAD/AOS docs should be sent to the Chicago Lock Box. They may well forward it to VSC or another Service Center depending on regional case loads, but I do believe it must originate at the lock-box. Hopefully someone else can weigh-in to confirm.
