129F sent to Vermont?

I filed my I-130 with Vermont mid Mar then filed a I-129F (in prep for K-3) with Chicago about 7 days later with the receipt from Vermont. Got a receipt from Chicago stating they got it.

Today I get a notice to tell me they sent the I-129F to Vermont. I thought it would be approved at the Missouri center? Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks

They already sent your file to Vermont!? I have not received any emails, or notices indicating my file being sent there. I am mad!

Give it a couple of days. My timeline almost matches yours. Money says you'll get an Email before the end of the week.

On the historical times page (K Visa Timelines Statistics), it says that Vermont takes is taking on average 48 days (“Avg. Days btw 1st I-129F NOA and 2nd I-129F NOA”) to approve K3

Damian,

I checked the timelines for those who were approved for a K-3 recently, and all have shown to get approval in about 40-51 days. I have verified the accuracy of the data.

Has anyone actually gotten their K3 approved that fast?

On my NOA1 from California says it normally takes 60 to 180 days to process.

48 days seems quick to me. I'm a little jealous. :)

Chances are your I-130 and I-129F will be acted upon on the same day. We got our I-120F approval email in the morning, and I-130 in the afternoon.

The down side is that even if you selected consular processing on the I-130 application, USCIS will likely hold your case.

Mike,

Since both I-130 and I-129F were approved on the same day, which process did you proceed with? K3 or I-130? Do you have the choice or will K3 be the default?
