Biometrics maiden name nightmare

Hi all.

So my husband and I filed all our paperwork for AOS back in November. All three of our receipts were in my married name. My biometrics letter arrived and it was in my maiden name. Stupidly after reading online some I decided to just take my marriage certificate and social security card with me that had my married name on, to show that this was incorrect.

At my appointment they couldn't do anything to rectify this, I called USCIS and they have put me on a call back list for in 183 minutes (great) and I am trying to use infopass to get an appointment to see an immigration officer at a later date because nobody would see me today.

Had I known there were anything I could have done to fix this prior I would have done - I am so angry at myself.

Has anyone been through this experience, does anyone have any advice? I want to fix this as soon as possible so my resident card is not incorrect. What a nightmare.

I called them and put in a service request.. My name was changed the next day and I could follow it online. The lady I spoke to read back to me exactly what she had written about the name and asked me if it was ok and did I want her to add anything for the officer to read..

Question... AT your biometrics they have you enter all your names though on a sheet and the officer (where I was) put my names in with me watching the screen next to him, asked me if it was correct and if those were all names I used... Did they say why they couldn't change it? Do you mean they entered your maiden name only?
