We Have Been Bamboozled!

Went to the interview February 10th, they tell us the papers have not arrived yet, however he will just do the interview and fill them out when they come and our papers should arrive in the mail in 10-15 days. Over 30 days later no welcome letter, no update on the website no anything.

Called the helpdesk today, she tells me wait another month for EAD which was filed in november and to wait another 3 weeks for greencard response. Told her about how everyone else has been getting their letter in less than 5 days; she says oh well, some officers have higher work loads. Well anyways I said thank you and went straight to infopass and scheduled a appointment.

MY WIFE NEEDS A JOB. ASAP:)

I feel your pain Jimi,

We filed on Nov 1, responded to a quick RFE and have not heard a word from them since. We called yesterday and spent 30 minutes on the phone answering questions for the girl to plug into the computer. Then her computer went down and we had to caLL BACK AND SPEND 40 MINUTES DOING THE SAME THING.

I really don't wnt to drive 6 hours for an infopass that does not necessarily gaurantee a temp RFE. I just want them to do what they are supposed to do. We have not even gotten a biometrics letter.

Believe me when I say, you don't want an RFE of any kind, be it "temporary" or not...hehehe...

We had filed our EAD along with our AOS back in December and nothing. I made an infopass appointment at the 90 day mark. We went in and they sent her that day to Biometrics and said she would have her card within the week. We hope that is the case.

We went to the appointment today and the guy at the desk took over a hour to finally tell us that the paperwork was pretty much in limbo. He stated because somehow my wife has to A#'s assigned to her name and they had all the paper work filed under a different A# and blah blah blah blah. Anyways we still didnt get a EAD or Greencard approval and he said somebody will call us maybe in 7 to 10 days. They totally screwed everything up for us.

Time to write the congressman.

This sounds like something that should be easy to fix on a computer but I am sure their hands are tied. They ( the USCIS ) have been caught a couple of times in corruption. They have sold green cards for sex and money. I am sure that they have taken away alot of the authority these local offices have in reponse to these cases.

Hopefully this will clear soon but it sure doesn't sound good to me. Please keep us posted!

you know, We have the same timeline almost..........and it really bites. Did you have the interview atleast?
