Oh my, did you really... I seem to remember the Tundra came in last place against the other full-size trucks.

You reading fake news again

Its ranked 1st of 8 of full size trucks by Consumer Reports

IDK... Does Car & Driver know much about vehicles?

http://www.caranddriver.com/toyota/tundra

Note: I didn't verify that against Snopes or any MDL websites, so YMMV.

They take in a lot of advertising dollars consumer reports does not.

The Tundra has the 3rd best resale value of any vehicle sold in America and the best predicted reliability of any full size truck.

We can go back and forth with articles about preference but in the end consumer reports is the most trusted.

I have driven Tundra for 10 years and sold them for 2.

We can talk about resale value of Volkswagen if you wish.

You don't wanna go there with the VW, considering my resale value is around $6K more than I paid for it 2 years ago. :)

As for resale value... That is ONE metric by which to judge a vehicle. And while I am no fanboi of Ford, they smoke Toyotas in total sales. Not saying that makes them a better quality truck than Toyota, but at the end of the day, sales makes for more jobs and more profits than resale value.

A snippet of 2015 sales data:

Whatever. Btw the car and Driver article you posted mentioned several Tundra configurations they don't even make.

You remind me of some of the rednecks I get on the lot. I ain't buying no Japanese truck. I always love to watch them swallow Tobacco juice when I inform them the Tundra has more American sourced parts and labor than any truck sold in America and that the Ford they are driving was made in Mexico .

Ford sells more F 150s yeah does not make it better.

Btw the number one in numbers brand sold in America is what.

Tundra came in last place against the other full-size trucks.

Might've posted this in the past, but can't find it.

In a past life, I dated a chica from rural East Texas. She confirmed the Hierarchy of Trucks as follows:

1. GMC

2. Chevrolet

3. Dodge

4. Ford

5. foreign

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

You might wanna stop lying to your potential customers. Ford trucks are not made in Mexico, they are made in Detroit in the Rouge plant. The ENGINES may be made in Mexico, but not the trucks. 'Stangs are made in Flat Rock, MI.

Couldn't find numbers for 2015, but for 2014, it was Ford, then Chevy, then Toyota.

Was that after they fixed their rusted frame issues?

that's a problem with our toyota. but its so reliable (knock on wood), we just try to stay on top of the rusting out.

Just keep a close eye on the frame rust as a lot of critical parts are attached to it. Toyota made a big booboo when they specified their trucks with E-coated frames instead of using the standard waxy like coating that Ford, Ram and GM uses, so even though the suppliers for the frames were the same, the Toyota frames didn't last. Not sure what they did to change it on their newer generations, but I wouldn't touch a Toyota truck as they are still in learning mode from what I can see.

Update to original story. Sounds like the person reported to be responsible was dispatched to meet his virgins.

Berlin truck terrorist Anis Amri has been shot dead after a gunfight with police in Milan in the early hours of this morning, Italian police have said.

The Tunisian pulled a gun from his backpack, screamed 'Allahu Akbar' and opened fire on two officers hitting one in the shoulder before being shot dead moments after getting off a train from France.

Amri had been on the run for four days after ploughing a lorry into crowds of revellers in the German capital on Monday night, killing 12 and maiming dozens of others.

The 24-year-old had just stepped off a train from France when he was stopped by a routine police patrol in the suburb of Sesto San Giovanni in the northern Italian city of Milan at about 3am local time.

Two officers asked him for ID documents, at which point Amri 'immediately' pulled a gun from his backpack and shot one of the policemen in the shoulder.

A firefight ensued with Amri cowering behind a car as he tried to flee, but the suspect was shot and killed by the other officer a trainee who had only been in the job a few months.

An Italian minister said today they had 'without a shadow of a doubt' killed the chief suspect in the Berlin massacre. Authorities believe he was trying to flee to southern Italy where he had entered Europe in 2011.
